Under the British monarchy its subject fight for the crown and party; under the American Judea-Christian principle people fight for the country and party in Ghana people fight to the death for party and tribe. Yet we all know that in Ghana political parties are derived from tribes; so as civilized industrialized nation fight for country and party in Ghana we fight for tribe.
It is only logical to conclude that our fight for tribal survival has been the root cause of a dysfunctional society incapable of building a more robust and better democracy than those of the USA and UK’s version 0. Ghana cannot and will not go beyond the democratic allusions because we are not men and women capable of fighting for a nation.
