Why not elaborate on politicisation and Tribalism being the bane of our crumbling society?
Take the topic up again and delve into it, starting from 1957 to 2014, look for facts why it has been so. You can get historical facts from one C.Y ANDY K's write up on Ethnocentrism, divide and rule Politics in Ghana to build upon your knowledge on why today in Ghana people vote leaders on certain default lines.

Give us practical examples. Can you stand for MP in the area you grew up even though you are not from there?

When I completed the series on the intellectual bankruptcy of Ghanaians, I shall release the continuation of the Ethnic Imbroglio in Ghana, which has been in the cooler for years now. Had I given tribalism and over politicisation as much weight as done by Mr Dzitse, I'd have posted them a long time ago.
The existence of tribalism in Ghana is actually over-exaggerated and overblown by those making the accusations. E.g., indulging in ethnocentric politics is even strictly, not tribalism by definition.
I have been listening to fellow Nigerians recently narrate the woes in their country. I actually trembled this morning listening to one of them. That country is really in the "dismal tunnel" Chief Obafemi Awolowo feared it'd enter. All well-meaning pple should join hands to avert that happening in Ghana, that we should not descend to that level of mental decay, greed and crass disrespect to law and order.

We should all accept that Over Politicisation of our Public Organisation and tribal issues can kill more than AIDS and EBOLA, so why not do away these poor mentality.Tribalism is our Culture and our Culture is the language one speaks but this should only be on LOCAL levels and not on National levels. It is therefore wrong for someone to talk in Ewe,Twi or Ga at National meetings/gatherings. This should be discouraged. We may remember that Dr Kwame Nkrumah used to speak English at all National meetings- even he spoke in English in his hometown. This, he had explained, is to brush out tribalism. We can continue to talk and encourage our vernaculars at Local levels for it is our Culture.

All the tribalism in Ghana all about hatred for the ashanti tribe. People feel Ashantis are pompous and look down on Northerners and other tribes. That observation about Ashantis is true but it is exagerated to haunt Ashantis. For instyance it is not Ashantis alone who look down on Northerners. All the Southern tribes-Ewes, Gas, Fantes, Akuapems, wassaws. Brongs, Akim, Krobos etc traditionally look down on Northerners. Singling out Ashantis alone on this note is hatred, envy and wickedness to ashantis. All South tribes are guilty. They all look down upon Northerners traditionally. The Ewes especially are doing that but they rather turn round to accuse Ashantis for political purposes--to play victims and gain advantage from other tribes. The Ewes are traditionally more tribal ie envious of Ashanti historical pride, influence and riches.
Let EWES challenge what I am dsaying.

Ewes don't envy Ashanti's. They rather admire them. Our chiefs sometimes imitate the way their chiefs adorn themselves. The Ewes equally have a rich culture & history.

And Ken Agyapong says kill all Ewe and Ga.
