Give a black man a position of leadership and you have given him a license to kill, maim, destroy or simply put cause untold havoc to the people he leads. We are not there yet.

In today's world, GOD Washington rules Africa, Jesus is just a figure head of old, used as a talking point for pastors in HEAT.

Very insightful and interesting article. My only disagreement is with the notion that God curses nations with bad leaders. As jocular and entertaining as the idea is, it's also a mis-conception. God has not cursed us with bad leaders. That's not His M.O. Rather, we curse ourselves when we make very bad choices. We are free to choose anyone as our president/leader but we are responsible for the choices we make. When we make a bad choice of a leader then we get what we asked for. We certainly get the leaders we deserve and we deserve the leaders we get.
Only recently a spokesman for one of the candidates for the flag-bearer of the NPP was trying to turn the contest from a contest of ideas to a beauty contest and age. The man believes Ghanaians (and he cited porters called Kaya yei as his example)are incapable of understanding the issues and voting strictly on the issues at stake and would certainly vote for a younger and more handsome candidate. To some extent he's right but shouldn't those who know teach those who don't know instead of taking advantage of their ignorance, naivety and gullibility? When we take undue advantage of the vulnerable in the society it's society in general that suffers . God does not punish us with bad leaders. We punish ourselves with the bad leaders we choose. When we get wiser the learned and knowledgeable among us will help society's disadvantaged to make wiser and informed choices and we will all enjoy the benefits together.
In Ghana of today people get education just to take undue advantage of those less privileged and disadvantaged. We have to acknowledge at one point that our destinies, rich or poor, educated or illiterate, are inter-twined and we fall and rise together.

I agree you have a point in the fact that people choose their own leaders but I wonder if you realise that Ghanaians can only make a choice from among those who put themselves up for election. We can simply not choose from what is not available.

This article has been very well written. It has some humour as well and says it all about the type of leaders we have.

This is a very well written article and has some humour as well. Our leaders’ behaviours could not have been described any better. Sometimes I doubt if our politicians receive any formal training or inductions of dos and don’ts before they take their political appointments. To be honest, majority of our politician are simply are jokers.
