The last thing Ghana and Ghanaians need is a lecture from without. Here are some of my beef with most of our fellow Ghanaians in the Diaspora. Ghana is damaged largely because of influences, good, bad and ugly mostly from outside. Investigate our economic problems and they will lead to foreign takeover, by fair or foul means, of our mineral and natural resources mostly led by Ghanaians who claim to have received their schooling and work experiences from outside Ghana. Review the levels of corruption, inter or intra party animosities and they will lead you to the “me” ideology mostly brought from outside Ghana; we had a nation of neighborliness. Review the unconscionable rises in prices for goods and services including land prices in Ghana and you will find that these unsustainable pricing came via those in the Diaspora. How would any Ghanaian who toils as a civil servant ever have money to buy a parcel of land in Accra and or sustain a descent living if they have to make housing deposit of two-year rental fee upfront? The least of our problem is the law because in the end it is those of you with money, more likely from the Diaspora, who will eventually corrupt any system of fairness and or equity in Ghana.

So your problem now is those of us here in the diaspora with money?
Stop behaving like a crab and continue steaming in the heat within. May you never travel outside Ghana.
