That is a really good point. Had we(NPP) done that in 2012, that alone would have earned us the victory. All the INDEPENDENTS in Parliament today were our people. We did that before and it did not work as well. We imposed Thomas Broni on Asutifi South and it did not work. If the people(constituents) do not like somebody, take him/her away. They are the voters. BOTTOMLINE: LISTEN TO THE GRASSROOTS!!!

NPP has always been the cause of its defeats. Thousands of the members will vote against it if impunity is allowed to continue. Anyway, the party MUST present a new face if wants to win in more than 2 regions.

Changing Nana Addo will be suicidal if he is the one the grassroots want. Rather than sit there complaining about NPP winning only 2 regions what did you do to help? Just like Boy Kofi below you both think just changing the flagbearer will lead to a 2016 victory. That is a simplistic and lazy way of thnking. The delegates will listen to the grass roots and if they want Nana Addo, then that is what they will get, if they don't him then may the next best candidate win.
If NPP use the same complacent attitude they used in 2012, do not monitor the polling stations, voting process and ballot counting, then no matter who leads the party they will keep on losing.

You want to win general elections,that is presidential and parliamentary.How could you limit yourself only to your grassroots?I do agree that you need to start your campaign from down to the top when it comes to communication but you don't allow the grassroot to decide who leads the party to victory.You need to assemble lot of factors,personality,charisma, intelligence and political rhetorics.Here we are dealing with effective strategy but not populism.The figures and results show that Nana Addo has always won only 2 regions out of 10.Did your grassroots tell you why he is not able to win in other regions?Did they tell you what he can do to win more regions?If I understand your statement very well it means you even don't know why you are supoporting Nana Addo,is that not the case?Thank you.

There is too much deception in the party. You cannot always fool people. NPP won in 2000, because Ghanaians wanted a change. The party wasted the opportunity it was given by disinfranchising voters who used NPP as an experiment. CPP has a better chance of ruling Ghana than NPP.

Nana Addo has bad trademark which is unatractive to other ethnic groups. There is too much deception with Nana Addo. You cannot always fool people. Change Nana Addo for Alan/Bawumia and situations will change.
