The country was in the hands of a clinically psychotic poop head for 20 years.
The same crackhead oversaw the crafting of a constitution that catered to his dictatorial whims and hence the concentration of enormous power in the executive.
The constitution of Ghana needs an overhaul and that needs to be undertaken by a Parliamentary body of men and women who are very intelligent and accomplished in their respective professions.
Ghana desperately needs the likes of Prof K Asare, Prof Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, and their likes to salvage the country.
The country is currently in the hands of unhinged amateurish goons and dolts.
They have little to none of any accomplishments for their own personal lives and such fools cannot be in charge of the destiny of a country and 25 million souls.

we are tired of the reckless willfulness of these leaders from minority tribal groups who only come with corruption in their hearts and hatred of the values and potential of the majority. This govt due to their anti Akan agenda and discrimination saturated by hate and envy of the Akans can never do anything right or good . Their wickedness is so deep in their subconscious and conscious that its fully geared to destroy the Akan economy so anything they think will benefit the Akans will be sabotaged , ignored or thrown out . we have no choice but to regroup and do as much as possible without involving the govt , ndc or these pepeni/ayigbe mafia criminals . Corruption , discrimination based on their tribalism , hegemony and chauvinism has eroded all unity within the nation .Akans all over the place are waking up , with the BA chiefs voicing their reservations about GMO , western region , central region are protesting under their breaths , our dear Ashantis have made their position clear so we expect the political parties with understanding of the Akan plight like the cpp , ppp and npp to stand up or be forgotten. We can not wait another 2 years as by then the damage will be cemented beyond repair . Eyered is now everywhere and we reluctantly realize only a bloody revolution can set our people free . Its not that they are unprepared of do not know what to do to get Ghana back on track but the hate in their hearts make them continue on this path of destruction of the Akans . they are doing EXACTLY what they planned to do so dont be fooled, just examine the EU agreement. If this EPA was so good why didnt they push that proposal through the UN for the whole world to benefit . we shall be exploited to the brink of slavery all because we have an illegitimate election rigging ayigbe/pepeni govt seeking international recognition and approval , the same way jj signed us off to the IMF . Only a fool can be deceived into thinking an election is the solution as it will be rigged again, we are wise to remain reserved and keep an open mind as many wanna be leaders fall short of being a genuine progressive leaders rather they are more likely to be in cohorts with the mafia political oligarchy that has a stranglehold on our people
we know many have been brainwashed into stupidity so do not see the truth. have you ever asked yourself why is it that when they hear the call WE AKANS they go into a stupefied frenzy of hate ? why is it that Akans are now very cautious of even saying who they are and where they are from , why is it that its only the Akans who believed in the melting pot of Ghana and disregarded their diversities . why is it that today in the ministries most traumatized Akans will only speak Ga or English yet ewes , northerners can freely converse in their mother tongue ? Talk about aggressive tribalism and where its coming from , who started it ? Hegemony , narrow mindedness and blaming all other tribes except their own was never started by the Akans but we can also learn the game very quickly

The problem is that the Akans have not united as a people with one common rot and ancestry to stamp their rightful place, influence and power on Ghana.
If you scrutinize the cultural heritage of all the different groups in Ghana, you can obviously conclude that the Akans have the culture that create wealth, harmony and civility required for building a viable and strong nation.
There should be a united Akan front for the ultimate good of all Ghanaians.
The Ewes and some Northerners have fooled some of the Akans by making them see Ashantes as objects of hate.
They are using the old divide and conquer trick on some Akan groups who should know better that you don't allow these people to undermine your own self interest.

This man is touching on the otherwise inevitable. Why can't Asantes support Akuffo-Addo properly to win elections?
Asantes will never be faithful and committed to any Presidential candidate from Northern, BA, Central, Eastern Akwapim and Volta. NEVER.
Now, they always attempt to fool the Akyems thinking they can outwit them but the Akyems are nobody's fool. These are people who are better educated and on the whole, more courteous than the crude Asantes. So the Akyems are by natural selection better placed than Asantes to lead any Asnte-akyem union.
As you will expect, the Asantes have always mistaken the Ghanaian Presidency for the Nsamankow which to me is not just a mistake but an idiotic error.
The entirety of the Ashanti region is in fact a kookoase enclave and could not be mistaken so seriously for a Ghanaian pride land. We Voltarians have professed respect for all people from the North and seek to accept courteous co-existence from our amply enlightened neighbours in BA, Ada, Krobo, Ga, Fanti and Ahanta and Nzema areas. This is what Ghanaian culture entails.
It is only fair that if an Akwapim man emerges as best NDC candidate, he is made to lead and so should be a Ewe, Fante, Ga or Northerner. No discrimination.
So, where is the talented Bawumia? NPP is not a credible party. It is hardly representative of total Ghanaian sentiments and needs. It is currently only a discordant and factional group and they have so far failed markedly to operate as a credible opposition party.
They will remain in opposition until to learn to broaden their base tribally

The weird Ahoofe concurring with the eccentric accounts professor on a subject that they are both lightweights. There is nothing wrong with setting up an expert committee to look at at some of the flaws of our constitution for the parliamentary due process.
Even parliament does not draft its own bills. They go through a drafting process from non parliamentarians before it comes to parliament for the parliamentary debates and readings before passing into law.
Asare's argument is against the committee who he thinks had usurped the role of parliament. He is wrong because which ever way it is parliament who will debate the reforms and their decision is what will bind. The role of the president is to give the parliamentary decision the presidential assent for it to become law or in the case of the constitution to effect the necessary reforms.

Ahoofe is deranged he is calling Okatachie, an ugly dwarf, a name rather being associated with his buddy, Nana Akufo Addo. Low life Kwame.

The constitution is clear on the proper procedures in amending it. What the Danquah committee has done so far are not in violation of any part of the constitution insofar as the committee has limited itself to the ministerial exercise of sourcing input from the general public on a possible amendment to the constitution. But the committee will be going against the constitution were it to organize a referendum to effectuate any amendments to the constitution. In this particular respect, it can only conduct opinion polls in any area of importance to it.
But so far, nothing done by the committee forms a legal basis for anybody to contend that it is about to hold a referendum or act in any way to impose constitutional amendments on Ghanaians.
The basis of Prof. Asare’s suit appears to be that the committee is not legally established and that it is about to organize a referendum at some future time on certain issues. It is my position that the committee is constitutionally established as per the enumerated powers of Chapter 23. And concerning the referendum, the chairman’s statement alone is not enough to justify a lawsuit. The committee should take a concatenation of actions to further the usurpation of parliamentary powers as set out in Chapter 25 before it could be properly sued. In other word, professor Asare’s suit is premature and should be dismissed by the Supreme Court on the judicial philosophy of lacking ripeness.

Massa Dr. Attorney at Law, with profound respect, I 'll beg to differ with your opinion, although the whole idea of amendment of the Ghanian constitution is over due.
Appointment of commission of inquiry, functions, procedures and powers are all vested in parliament because the President alone is not the repository of all wisdom, and the constitution amendment is a matter that concern the all Ghanian citizenry.
Hence, the president can't constitute a commission alone and subsequently, cherry pick the CRC report based on what he likes, and rejects the rest for the country to vote on it at referendum.
You are a lawyer and I 'm not, but how does it seem to you as a legal luminary this scenario?
Excellent idea (the constitutional amendment) but don't mess it up.

Dr SAS, Prof Asare's suit is also about whether it is the Executive that should lead the amendment of the Constitution or the Legislature. There is merit in that but let's leave the decision for the SC.

Where is the merit when under Chapter 23 the president has the right to constitute commissions to address relevant issues which is different from the process of amendments of the constitution.
With respect to amendments under chapter 25 the process is clear.A bill must go through parliament subject to the council of states and if it is entrenched to be subjected to a referendum under the EC.It is only after the referendum that it is passed into law by parliament for the president's assent.
There is no procedural impropriety here and it seem to me that Asare is jumping the gun.Personally I see it as attention seeking because there is no breach of the constitution so far and it has no merit.

Why is the President reviewing the constitutional review committee's report, and being selective before submitting it for referendum, and subsequent amendment?
Isn't it all parliament's work to deliberate on such issues?
What about if they do a botch work and vote to amend the constitution like they did with the fizzled/fiasco Brazilian saga in parliament with their numbers, then what?
It's not a partisan issue but national, and therefore should be treated as such. Hence, it belongs to parliament, period!
