"Thus legally, the Non est Factum defence is unavailability to the careless" - Asante Fordjour
Another crap cliche from a clueless lawyer. Surely, you were probably taught by Kwamena Ahwoi or the late Atta Mills. Those legal quotations were their cliches. I sat in Ahwoi's Business law class many decades ago and those were the phrases he used to quote to mesmerize we the unexposed folks. We now know better. Why quote such crap to debate trade issues that fall within the ambit of Economics? You probably don't understand Economics and how economies work so give it up!!!You folks are the bane of our Development. Spare Ghanaians this intellectual and legal crap. Show me any country that has not benefited from trade.

Yaw, I am not a lawyer and cannot interpret all those terminologies. However, like in trade incoterms, trade is between the buyer and seller. I do agree unfortunately accept that slavery was pure business. That's why we had the ancestorsof of the Lebanese and Syrians trading in Africa involved. A lot of Arabs came down to play the role of middlemen and made huge profits. That's business anyway you look at it. My worry now is the nature of the product, and how "goods" are mishandled in transit. The "goods" in this instance were HUMAN BEINGS just like the middlemen and retailers abroad. Yaw, if you decide to sell me your children, you may be doing so out of poverty. Feeding them should be a worry to you no doubt. This places you in the position as the seller. Now if as as a buyer, I don't attach any human emotions to the deal, that should then make me a very crude person! What I am implying here is why didn't the whiteman agree to this deal if he truly had some God given humanity in him? Hope you get the picture.
The hypocrisy is today being played right in front of our eyes after benefitting not from cheap labor, but FORCED labor for hundreds of years. We should have and still can ask those who introduced Christianity and Islam here. Historically speaking, it looks like both the early Christian and early Muslim took part in some illigality. Human beings are involved in any trade agreement because the commodities are consumed by us. In the past, the commodity was a BLACK HUMAN BEING! This time round, the commodity is INDIRECTLY a black human being. Nothing much has changed. The only difference is that the "commodity" instead of being hunted and purchased on African soil, is now availing itself and even willing to die to get across to the slave post in America. Have a nice day.

How could you say the EPA is good for Africa if you understand economics? We shall be losing revenues. The Oyinbos know this hence the carrot dangled in front of those apes are wiser than. Why would the Oyinbos give us subsidy to supplement loss of revenues ( they already know there will be hence why they're put in the subsidy)? Here, people can claim to be anything but what they write will expose them. Bro, you didn't attend any business classes nor understand economics. You're a fraud as usual, plenty of them here as usual!

This article is stimulating. However, the analysis of signatories etc with regard to colonialism shows that we still havent got a clue about the nature of colonialism and even why we breath English laws into our African polity. Its encouraging though because it is gradually indirectly or directly becoming obvious that we have not even started the process of decolonization. Neo-colonialism has thrown us into a mental frenzy
