If they sit on their asses and wait till even the end of this year, there will be no Ghana for anybody to live in. The country will be so messed up that there will be no need to make reference to her as a country
I've been saying all along that a 'democracy' type of governance doesn't work for Africa because it gives the green light to the few unscrupulous political thieves to plunder a nation's coffers for their personal use and drive the country into the ground with no means of recourse.
Democracy works perfectly in the Western world because their politicians put their countries first with the additional bonus of not having thieves and corrupt people as leaders. If there are, they can be counted on just one hand.
So the recourse I mentioned in our case comes in the form of a military coup but it looks like our Security Forces have been cowed into inaction by either being corrupt themselves in cahoot with the corrupt ruling elites or they are scared shitless of these clueless governing elites.
That bastard Rawlings who is part of the reason why our country is in this mess had less of a reason to try to overthrow another military regime in power.
There is a ton of reasons why there should be a military intervention now.
*Look at the economy....it's in shambles.
*Look at our health care system... nothing to write home about.
*Look at our roads and highways.... they are death traps.
*Look at our educational system.... turning out half literate graduates
* Look our internal security and judiciary system... armed robbers having a field, killing, maiming and raping people in their homes and on our highways.
* Look at our cities.... being taken over by filth and garbage which have become "next door neighbours".
* Look at our industries.... being stifled by "dumsor-dumsor".
* Look at the level of corruption... it has seeped into every fabric of Ghanaian life. From the ordinary clerks in the government regional offices to the ministies all the way tot the office of the President.
* Look at our immigration system... our cities have been over run by illegal aliens who are up to no good and indulging in all kinds of vices.
Do I need to go on?
So if the military will just sit on their fucking asses in their barracks and turn a blind eye to all these, then they are just cowards in uniforms who can only bully uneducated market women when given the chance.
They have no balls!!!!!

Are you aware that the Nkrumah coup was masterminded by the CIA? In other words the USA put this curse you claim on us. Right?
Now in the same vein, you claim the US will come after anyone who stages a coup. So what does that tell you?
US is the biggest manipulator in the world. They only act when it's in their interest. They don't really give a fuck what or how the masses of the nation they are manpulating feel.
Who the fuck are they to tell us how to live our lives? They propped up most of the corrupt governments on the continent of Africa. The supported despots who killed their own people. Siad Barre of Somalia, Mobutu of Zaire... just to name a few. Now see the history of those 2 places. There has never been peace there after those corrupt despots were kicked out.
And you deceive yourself thinking that US has the welfare of Ghana in their hearts? Keep on dreaming and the country of Ghana will never recover. Remember they are the ones who put that curse on us on 24th February, 1996 as you claim.
Some pointers for you to compare and reason out why the US should leave Ghana alone if there happens to be a coup:
* No state in the US has been subjected to the 'DUMSOR-DUMSOR' saga Ghana is experiencing right now which is making life unbearable.
* No highway or roads in the US has been labeled as "deathtraps" as all our roads and highways are in Ghana.
* Taxi cabs don't masquerade as 'ambulances' in the cities of the USA. They have one of the best ambulatory care systems in the world. All that one needs to do is call 911 and the fire service guys will show up at your door even before the ambulances arrive. Can you say that for Ghana? No.
* None of the their politicians are as corrupt as ours in Ghana.
* Armed robbers don't roam their streets at will killing,maiming and raping young women even, though they have the largest private individual gun collection owners in the world. Their laws work. Can you say that about our country? No.
So for you to suggest that the US will come after coup makers in Ghana when they know that nothing is working for the benefit of the masses is like you buying into their 'bullying' stance they take to intimidate other nations. Nobody is claiming that they don't have the muscle to do that. They can, but my question is why would they bother when they know our politicians are killing Ghana? The coup makers are definitely not going to be anti US. They will know Ghana will need the US if the country is to survive economically. After all, the purpose of the coup will be to make Ghana survive
So in my opinion, you are underestimating the modern day US just as you are underestimating the Ghana Armed Forces in staging a coup.
We will all have to wait and see how things turn out in the next six months if Ghana will survive under the leadership of the current clueless clowns we have as leaders.
I'm all for a coup even if we have the fear of the US' might hanging over us. We a sovereign nation and we have the right to do what is in the best interest of our nation.
