his opinion may not be that well elaborated or eloquently presented but bashing him because he is Ashanti is stupidity . he has a point , anybody wishing to lead must be properly scrutinized and analyzed especially when its obvious most leaders of the past have had suspicious motives at best . i for one am reviewing my position on Nana Addo for several reasons . First he idolizes PV Obeng the criminal who caused us so much pain , he is still not clear what kind of a vision he has for Ghana except replacing one party with another , or better put one mafia with another .

I remember it very well the kind of a songs that Ghanaians sang before 2008 elections. They said "yere se samu meaning they are changing NPP for NDC and since then we can testify what our beloved country have gone through. We should make that kind of mistake any more. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo is the name that the people of Ghana have heard and uttermost party of the world. If we dare change him NPP will go to opposition for another 4 years. Mark this on the wall? A word to the wise is enough.

Becoming a President of a country is not the same as searching for a manager to preside over systems and processes.
People who have known you all your life are the ones to make a judgement on whether or not you have the personal qualities of a leader. If you think your duty is to inform people about personal qulities then maybe you do not possess them.
Allan has every right as a Ghanaian to contest to become the President of Ghana. Those of you selling him are shortchanging him if your point of reference is Akufo Addo.
You throw about words like 'visionary' without considering its gravity. Visionaries usually show in how they have transformed lives in their pursuits and conduct thus far. They can show that they have mentored people and have brought about transformational changes in some sphere of human activity. They show they have been involved in a cause to change other people's lives for the better and that they want to replicate that on a national scale.
If Allan has done these or represent any of these, start presenting these and you have a winner. Continue to believe that by climbing all over Akufo Addo you can succeed and you are onto a loser!

The point is we are going into general elections in 2016 and it's imperative that NPP elects a strategic candidate who can neutralise NDC's winning strategy. That is to say,a presidential candidate who can defeat Mahama or whosoever, this is the objective of the primaries. The delegate should not be looking at somebody they know for a long time,or somebody who has been giving them gifts and money.Mahama has beaten Nana Addo 3 good times on a row,at the presidential debate,at the polls and in court.NPP must give NDC a stronger challenger who is a very intelligent and strategic to unhorse President MahamaThat is how you win general elections but not with popular names.Next time I will uncover some effective strategies for you.Thank you.

You always want me to see things through your lenses. You do not want me to use my hunches and experience to inform my comments.
I am thinking beyond political parties to Ghana. If I were that partisan, I would be recommending the NPP go the way of offering unfunded promises and throwing in propagandist lies here and there. But I am made of better stuff than this.
My posts and my articles are always geared towards infuencing people to think of higher national values. If Ghana is to start taking off, promises of disparate amenities have no place. Talk of electing people with angelic personalities will not help us. What we need is an authentic leadership.
You are right that I am tilted towards Akufo Addo because I want Ghana to progress. I am 100% convinced that people who lay claims to superficial qualities, as making them presidential material, can never move Ghana forward.
Ghana needs a leader who raises passions because moving a country in the desired direction requires such people.
Akufo Addo is one such person. Some people hate him with a passion and yet others love him with a passion. It does not take much for such an individual to mobilise and rally people towards a national goal. Hence my convinction.
I do not think you and I are on the same plane as to how to win elections. Yes Ghanaians have been electing at best managerial-presidents. However, what they are going through now, and wondering why the opposition is not 'opposing', hopefully will open their eyes as to what leadership is all about.

The writer woefully failed to make the case for Alan. As a keen observer of the political and economic trajectory of our dear nation I've neither been awakened to Alan's achievements and successes in the private realm of life nor to his exemplary and spirited service to the motherland.Opportunitieshave always been served him on a silver platter but he's a proven flop on each occasion. Why call him a visionary when he has no vision for a nation that's down on its knees? How does Mr Kyeremanten expect us at this crucial time in our history to put trust in the hollow words of a serial failure? We don't need just another president when we're already saddled with an inept John Mahama and his bunch of ineptocrats
The person we're asking for should be none other than a transformational president who will lift ghanaian lives from the lowlands of poverty, deprivation and despair to the higher heights of contentment and hope. The urgency of now does not call for a mediocre performer. Akuffo Addo is not perfect but he's way ahead of Alan Kyeremanten in many ways. Let's present the best candidate to the ghanaian electorate. It's their choice to make between mediocrity and excellence. We have no choice between Alan and Mahama and when faced with no choice the people stick with the "devil" they know.

NPP must study the winning strategy of NDC and it will not be difficult to understand that they are using the swing regions to beat NPP always. The advantage for winning in one of the swing regions is that they have the same voting pattern. When you win in Greater Accra, you automatically win Central and Western regions as well,it has a triangular effect.I think it is for this reason Kuffour traded horses with CPP in the Western and Central regions to win the 2000 general elections.Joe Ghartey who has been a MP in the Western region for about 14 years and holding a very high profile position in NPP.A member of the commitee who reviewed the verdict of the election petition would know how to go about elections better than Alan.Joe Ghartey as a Deputy Speaker of Parliament tells you how can take accounts of opposing views.I believe he is the most strategic candidate for the party now.Thank you.
