That child ought to have been left the same way he/she was born until such a time that he could do whatever s/he wanted at his/her own cost. Of course, in the interim, she could do with some professional counselling and guidance suport. What would happen if at age 12 he decides again that he should be that he had been at birth?

Asantes/Akyems should form their own state, like Swaziland. Then Asantehene becomes the king and Nana Addo the Prime Minister. They can fund their new State of Illusion by taxing the prostitution of Asante/Akyem women( as suggested by MP from Obuasi ), turning Kumasi into #1 transit for drugs and 419 operation.
Then we can all have our peace of mind.

This is a very objective piece. One of the failings of the NPP hierachy has been gross intolerance towards those who dare to call a spade a spade.I am glad someone has dared to point one of Nana Akuffo Addo's failings which has cost him dear; NAMELY IS UNWILLINGNESS OR INABILTY TO INTERVENE ROBUSTLY WHEN HIS CLOSE SUPPORTERS MAKE A MESS OF THINGS. A typical example was the deafening silence from Nana Akuffo Addo when the likes of mad Kennedy Agyapong went on a rampage attacking non Akan tribes. This fact (largely ignored by most of the top dogs in NPP) CAUSED HUGE DAMAGE AND ALIENATED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF GHANAIANS. To date the NPP has not been able to successfully shake off the unfortunate label of being an Akans only party.

You talk about electability as if it is tied to a single candidate. It is like Allan saying that when it comes to winning power, everything else is secondary. Really? It is this mentality that has saddled Ghana with John Mahama, who is clueless in the midst of crisis.
Electability is a function of so many factors amongst them the times we are in, the message and mode of transmitting that message.
You are right that no two elections are the same - that is why a condidate who loses one election can win another.
Electability is the function of the times. When things are ticking along fine, anybody without a vision but managerial competence, can successfully rule a nation. However, in times of crisis (which we have on our hands now), it is only a LEADER who can turn things around.
Look at the times, determine the qualities required to handle the crisis, decide who embodies these qualities, elect that person and sell him or her effectively.
This notion that a fixed unchanging bloc exists labelled floating voters exists, who confers 'electability' on a candidate, is a myth. Some people do float alright but because they move with changing times and not changing candidates.
The NPP has to show that they can discern the issues of the times we are in, craft a message around them and present a candidate best suited for the times we are in. That is the KEY.

My friend this is your opinion and I respect it. However, at least Nana Addo tried to paint a vision - a country where no child is left behind because of the stations of their parents. He did link education to industrialisation and for me this opens the door for Ghana to take off. So far in our history, we have been living on 'cheap' money offered by natural resources with minimal effort by government. These resources are depleting fast and our economic sustainability is becoming increasingly dependent on how we develop our human capital. We ignore this at our peril.
It is pathetic that the explanation being given for our economic problems is low commodity prices and non-realisation of grants and donor funds.
The IEA debate should not be your only source of information if you can discern issues and vote based on that. You at least have the choice of relatively assessing the candidates. One said something he was not able to adequately explain (your take) and the others, what did they say?

Please Sir, I respect your opinion but I disagree with some of your explanations in your article.
