first law of economics is supply and demand , second is never produce anything if there is no market for it . we have the market so we can industrialize sooner or later , hand it over freely to the Europeans no matter how well packaged and the future of our children are doomed. i dont see the Europeans offering the other benefits such as the freedom of movement and insisting on visa free entry into their countries. they are not offering half a trillion for infrastructural development and real assistance in bettering the standard of the people of west Africa . this is a war that will destroy any chances of self reliance and self development . see what they have done to our poultry , fish and beef industry . until we have people who understand the issues and the true hidden agendas and dangers of such a one sided agreement where the benefits are only for the Europeans we should not engage in any such devastating experiments . EPA is being pushed now because they are aware pepeni is an illigimate president , even now the video of the murder of atta mills is being circulted in private circles and one day soon he will be overthrown so he is rushing to put another yoke and burden on the people of Akan. this govt can only borrow and can not even secure investments of 30 billion dollars how do they expect to handle a multitrillion agreement which in reality denies your own people the right to develop their own industry. our industrial base is less than 3% by the way. lets not allow this foolishness to pass ,

So you speak as if you know it all? What about AGOA that was vigorously pursued by Kuffour and by extension Apraku? Have you forgotten so easily? What good did AGOA bring along? other than millions of dollars dolled out to that woman consultant who was banding around as spokes person, indeed educating us on AGOA?
And you speak about economics?Economics is everyday experience. Of course, the interaction between demand and supply. That is cheap.
We are talking here about how to put value on agricultural produce. What use is producing cocoa and exporting the raw beans only to import chocolate at exorbitant price? Switzerland does not produce cocoa but manufactures the best chocolate in the world.
How do we put value on our mineral resources to attract more price? That is the reason why Nkrumah , our first president, envisioned the Volta Aluminium Smelting plant to turn bauxite into alumina for industries in Ghana instead of importing aluminium.
What the president Mahama is doing is the right thing to do.
Have you conceived of the massive infrastructural development going on now?
We need a leader with a vision, whether he is pepeni or not, to lead us into, into the middle income level status that we have been yearning for.
And you talked about killings? Yanaa is waiting ...for all the unpatriotic intentions unveiled and machinated leading to a demise and consequently a conflict in the northern region.
If you have ideas...bring them on and stop this cheap stupid propaganda that is worthless as per your baseless thoughts here.

i see you are another fool who will forever remain as blind as a bat , what massive infrastructure , i dont see the railway lines or a single industry being set up so shut the fuck up. AGOA was a step in the right direction by the way as it was fair . You speak of agriculture , what about the natural resources such as gold to jewery and equipment , iron ore to fine steel , bauxite to cars or vehicles ? as for nkrumah i will not even mention the botched up mess he created with the bauxite as anyone one could have told him the first thing he should have done was the electrolysis plant as anything else was a bottomless pit of only losses . we dont need any visions as everything is already known what we need is competence and integrity which your corrupt pepeni mahama has none . tell him to resign so we can get on to getting things done

The death of PV Obeng ends the dialogue of the National Economic Forum. This forum was depending on him to implement all the resolutions and recommendations and his death takes it all away, leaving it to go back to the drawing board. We will now see how the plans will be implemented. This is why it is so dangerous to rely on man without any back up.

Nonsense, what much has been achieved in one year of Mahama's administration?
This alone exposes the hypocrisy of the writer.

Wonders will never stop. To P/NDC, even killer Rawlings and Kojo Tsikata will be vindicated. But to majority of Ghanaians, these looters who have stolen every penny from our coffers will never be vindicated.
These looters money and assets will be a great curse on their families, for they stole from Ghanaians. They destroyed genuine and hardworking Ghanaian business menbusinesses. We know what P/NDC did to Siaw Tata brewery, Appiah Minkahand many others.
These looters led by killer J.J. Rawlings stole power and oppressed Ghanaians. They made themselves "I am holy than thou".They killed innocent Ghanains to instlled fears in Ghanaians. Once they were able to instill terror in Ghanaians, then they looted everything in our coffers.
Just imagine, if Woyome was able to loot $58.9Million in NDC lead democratic government, can you imagine in Rawlings P/NDC where there was no checks and balances. P/NDC government official including the late PV Obeng have looted Ghana very bad. I feel pity for these thieves.
PV Obeng will never be vindicated when talk about state thieves in the history of Ghana. Where did he get that huge sum of money he claimed his house boy had stolen? Why was that money kept in his house. All Ghanaians know all the P/NDC looters. Their last day will be miserable for killing innocent Ghanaians and looted our country the way they have done.

I need someone to help me understand how PV transformed the economic landscape in Ghana. For all the years that he associated himself with Rawlings and the PNDC govt can any one point out one public policy he implemented that has transformed the lives of Ghanaians? There is not a single one as far as I know. For all the influence he had in govt for decades, it never occurred to him to initiate a public medical emergency system. When he was acutely taken ill and needed help to get to the hospital, the only help he got was a ride in the back seat of a taxi. Folks, this is embarrassing. The same story with the late president Atta Mills
