The lawyer is right. The police can arrest anyone for issuing death threats but it's stupid to arrest someone for murder because the person previously issued death threats to the victim. If this is the way to conduct investigations, then the Ghana Police better build bigger cells.
Btw, I pity those you teach because your grasp of basic logic appears to be very weak.

Just few days after the murder, we heard that the wife of the deceased left her marital home because her late husband had too many friends in the house and refused to go back home unless all the husband’s friends had left the house. Then, the deceased asked his friends to leave and then telephoned the wife and asked her to come home because all his friends had left. She agreed to return the following day only for her to go home the next day to find his lifeless body laying in the house.
My question is; Who discovered his body? The wife. Who was the last caller he talked to? Who was the last person that text him? The Police must dig deep and find out who has a motive to kill the deceased. Is the wife the only beneficiary entitled to all his assets? Your guess is as good as mine. the wife must also be a person of interest to the police since after the murder it has come out that the wife and his family were not in good terms. And also, the police must question all his friends to find out if they have alibi on the day of the crime. As far as this case is concern everyone is a suspect. The Police can’t focus on only one suspect.

Folks, this gas-bag called Okoampah seems to be elevating himself to a pedestal that is not suitable for him. I took the trouble to visit the Web site of the Nassau Review that he quoted as being a Board Member of.
Here is the description of status that Okoampah wrote:
"A History of The Nassau Review
he Nassau Review has been published annually since the spring of 1964. According the founding-editor, John O'Shea Cadden, the Nassau Review aimed "to provide an outlet for [Nassau Community College] faculty's creative and scholarly pursuits. In succeeding issues, articles of interest from faculties of other colleges [on Long Island] will be accepted for publication."
Since then, the Nassau Review, under the innovative director of its longest-serving editor, Paul Doyle (1970-2009), has evolved from a largely local literary journal into an international journal of remarkable repute and presence. And with the assumption of editorial direction by Christina M. Rau (2010-Present) has also emerged a major paradigmatic shift from an increasingly leaden scholastic circumscription into the vanguard realm of esthetic liberty of the finest caliber.
In essence, The Nassau Review has arrived in the twenty-first century world of the literary journal.
- Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr.
Board Member, Nassau Review
Now, remember that the last edition of this Review was in 2011---clear three years behind!!
Have you seen the wrong turns of language use and writing in this description?
Even the first word that should be "The" is written as "he".
Then, follow down the line to see other horrible instances of writing:
"According the founding-editor.." Do we not know that it is always "According to...?" as far as the English idiom is concerned? Where is the preposition, Okoampah?
Yet other instances of horrible writing:
"And with the assumption of editorial direction by Christina M. Rau (2010-Present) has also emerged a major paradigmatic shift from an increasingly leaden scholastic circumscription into the vanguard realm of esthetic liberty of the finest caliber."
What exactly is the meaning of this convoluted structure of gibberish?
Okoampah's writing style (on Ghanaweb) is clearly evident at Nassau Community College too! Aaaaba!!
I intend to visit that Nassau Community College soon to find things out for myself. Such a lout!!

I totally agree with lawyer Kwame Akuffo. He is absolutely right. A mere text message threatening someone is not enough evidence to warrant an arrest of a suspect. The Police will need hard evidence and lots of it to be able to convict Bulldog. I want to remind you that, this is a homicide case so the Police must to able to place him at the crime scene. If they have no proof that he pulled the trigger, at least they must be able to establish some kind of forensic evidence to prove that he is indeed the one that committed the crime. Circumstantial evidence with only text messaged will crumble at trial regardless of its contents. Unless they have direct evidence to back it up. If the Police don't have any DNA evidence, forensic evidence, direct evidence, admission of guilt or eyes witness account this case is as good dead. I hope the real killer will be caught soon to bring closure to the family.

I want all of you rooting for the 'Bulldog" to wait until such a calamity befalls any of your families. It is not anything good to wish on anyone but to threaten someone's life is a very serious thing. If you care to know, where Mafia tactics are employed, no threat can be referred to as mere. Let us all wait and see what really happens even where the 'Bulldog' is released on the point of law, especially his detention beyond 48 hours without trial.

guys, to be real and frank with you, Okoampa is right. the first time i read that the lawyer of bulldog thinks its not right for his client to be arrested, i said to myself, who the hell gave this Addo his credibilities into the bar. he must be barred. He is simply arrested because of threats he forwarded to the deceased phone and also to assist in investigations. The text messages alone serves as exhibits and the police has the right to lay his hands on him. that is what we call law. Now , what his lawyer was suppose to do is, if he still want to keep his job as the lawyer of his client , is to plead for a bail as the investigations continues. From all points, this bulldog of a guy risks to serve LIP. he is a criminal and must be dealt with.
