Oh, you mentioned Wa-Tumu road, the two roads leading to tumu from fian are just killer roads. speed ramps damaged my oil base plate on Wahabu road last month, and Kuntulo area too has been deliberately destroyed by residence. l was shocked at the first time of using these roads. Cars are not welcome there at all.
However l don't blame the people, rather authoriies because in Ghana people do away with the law so easily wihtout commence from the authority.
Funny enough, the road minister is from there,,,, May God help us

YES that is what speed ramps are.
If motorists will use common sense in driving there will be none. I don't support speed ramping but recklessness is worse.

Koo Pia. You are absolutely right. I hate speed ramps, but I can hardly blame the villagers for putting them there. I would do the same if I lived in one of the villages. The problem is not the villagers but the crazy drivers ... read full comment

In fact if yout try to drive within the speed limit, you will be cursed and insulted by motorists.

My fren, it is not the illegal speed ramps that are unleashing terror on the roads but the crazy drivers that have turned the roads of Ghana into killing fields, while the authorities stand by haplessly, or busy themselves collecting bribes from motorists with defective vehicles or over-speeding. Or, issuing licences to untrained drivers! The real accomplices to the actual terrorists: the drivers.
Sure, those ramps can be insufferable nuisances but they have, no doubt, been saving the lives of hundreds of villagers and passengers alike.
When the state authorities are failing to protect lives and limbs, the people themselves reserve the right to protect 'emselves.
They are inept, corrupt and thieves.
