This is such a ridiculous article that one has to question the writer's credentials. The absurdities point to someone who has no idea what he is talking about, and should not be taken seriously. EPA, under any scrutiny, is a poison for the well-being of Africa's future sovereignty and economy. Fears for the loss of foreign aids and budgetary subsidies should not be determining factors. It is high time we found a way to stand on our own, and be responsible for ourselves. SO HAVE NATIONS DEVELOPED.

If we talk about self reliance then we shd be supporting EPA bcos EPA is just abt removing another form of devt aid (trade assistance). Go and read your basic economics and u will knw what the writer is saying is very true.

You sound like a naive intellectual who relies only on textbooks. I am sorry to say this, because there are textbooks and Real Politik. African leaders and so called intellectuals dwell only on textbook messages. Let me give you an easy to understand example: United Kingdom waged wars to keep Falklands (an island on a totally different continent) as part of its territory, but the same nation is fuming against Russia for allowing the citizens of Crimea choose to return to the Russian fold. Do you have an explanation?

Why do we bring children in this world to suffer,if we can't help them all,the least we could do is protect their future .

I think the author of this article does not know what is going on in the world. In the age of the Internet where it has become easy to be informed on the economic situation in every part of the world, it is unfortunate that people continue to think and behave as if they were still in slavery or colonial chains. Europe is broke. It is begging China to come and invest in Europe. Even London Taxi owes its survival to Chinese investors. It is the beggar mentality that is blocking the development of our continent.

Certainly u sound very ignorant about EPA bcos EPA is about taking away that beggar mentality.if we claim we wsnt to be independent from European then we must sign EPA to prove to them ee don't need their aid for trade

If you know that much about EPA and its benefits for Africa, I would appreciate if you could kindly explain those benefits. Explain which goods (bulk/raw and manufactured) African countries are going to export Europe. So far, African leaders have not explained to the citizens of this continent the real benefits of EPA. Since you appear to know more about EPA, can you tell me if Ghana is going to be allowed under EPA to export her chocolate to EU. Don't be fooled by the ratio 100% on one side and 75%-80% on the other. This is just on paper to dupe the unsuspecting African "leaders". In real terms, Africa may not even have access to 50% of European market, because, as you may not know, all things are not equal.

We are not letting go of this issue until it is scrapped from our national agenda.
The eu must have some fuckin nerve to even initiate something this stupid and retarded in the first place. Why not if you have puppets and house niggas in power.
Nkrumah must be laughing and weeping at the same time, wherever he is,if he can see us now.
Shame on all coup plotters!
What good has your nonsense brought us today.
