Instead of making the water & electrical problems a priority, he rather wasted money sending these people to Cuba. Even if they're able to complete their courses, where would they get water & electricity to operate on patient upon return to Ghana because those crises will still be there.

The government has to take the blame. Why do we grant scholarships to students to study in foreign countries and not remit them? Do we have what it takes to manage our scholarships?
How often do we need to have eggs plattered on our faces as Ghanaians? Yesterday it was a rented hall at the Ghana Embassy in Tokyo by our top diplomat for gambling. Today it's our children being trained in Cuba as doctors...

Ghanaians are in majority lawless people and we export that lawlessness very where we go. I have been on scholarship in a socialist country for six years. I have been a member of the executives of two youth organizations that take aspirants to the Scholarship Secretariat for seven years.
There are also instances where students on scholarship turn to be agents of other countries and are in their pay. The aim of those students is to bring the name of socialist countries into disrepute. They are deceived that they will be given better scholarship than what they had in socialist countries. In the end they get disappointed. There are instances that such people after years come back to join graduate associations of the socialist countries they denounced. I also happen to be on scholarship to Cuba for six months. I had no cause to complain about my allowance, which was paid on time and never had cause to complain about food and accommodation.

I totally agree that Prez Mahama is a total disgrace to Ghana and Africa as a whole and that he has failed us by selling this country to outsiders,When I was reading this Article it mentioned that the three caught were kids of High Gov Officials,This is my question why were the ordinary Citizens of Ghana not taken on this so call Scholarship and if my understanding sets me right,we don't pay nothing when someone is on Scholarship so why are we paying all this good amount of money to this so call student when they already have a trade in Armed Robbery.I really enjoyed reading this article of Justice Sarpong but my problem was when he tried to relate to the students as Northerners with few Ewes,I think it would be nice if you said just Student of Ghana.By the way that was one nice Article

Lord, the truth is that these students were about 90 percent Northerners and they were sent to Cuba a little over two years ago by then Vice President Mahama.
His explanation was that, he chose Northerners because when they finish their course, they will then be sent to the three Northern regions as medical doctors to help bridge the gap between the North and South since the North lag behind the South in terms of medical doctors.
It is not my imagination. It is on record and only the names of the students were not revealed. Those students were not selected by the scholarship secretariat but were selected by Mahama himself.
