I knew that Bakor was a useless person the very first time I read his article. This idiot keeps on churning articles about the state and government without taking time to read the constitution.
And these useless people were challenging people like Prof. Asare when he was using our constitution to debate against the Supreme Court taking the law into their hands and calling people on radio station to come to court to be insulted as if we were in Cassava Republic.
The constitution could be found on this very pages and yet, the guy has not bothered to read about it. You keep on supporting the people and making excuses for the people who wrote the constitution.
Bogus constitution in Ghana. What do you mean by the constitution , the so called " Nyansasem" guy? This is really serious issue. Thanks Dr.Bokor for such an insightful article.

So you just found out that the President, Vice and many other leaders in our Nation don't pay taxes. Don't you know it is in the constitution and without reading it, how will you know about that? Shame on both of you.
What is insightful about this article? You clueless folks raise your voices on every topic without knowing anything about the country that love. Bokor has been written about Ghana problems and if he is telling us that he just found out this, it is he is just as clueless as his praise singers here.
Go and read the constitution and find out what is wrong with the Country. Some of the decisions that they make is because of the stupid constitution we have. Since it favors the President, Vice, Ministers and Mps, they don't seem to make any amendments.
For example, the constitution does not put a cap on how many could become Supreme Court judges. If that amended, there will be a time, that Nation of 24 million will have 30 Supreme Court Judges while the USA with his over 300 million people have only 9 Judges.
The same allows the electoral commisioner, Afari Gyan to change our electoral map without any input from anyone. This is why he kept on creating constituencies without thinking of how we will pay the new MPs with their huge salaries.
So tell me, if you did not know about the powers that the constitution had given to Afari Gyan, how can debate on that issue when the issue came out that he was creating another 45 constituencies.
Some of you only come here to talk about NDC or NPP without knowing anything about the Country you profess to love or live in.
This is from the constitution: 68 (3,4 and 5)
(3) The President shall receive such salary, allowances and facilities as may be prescribed by Parliament on the recommendations of the committee referred to in article 71 of this Constitution.
(4) On leaving office, the President shall receive a gratuity in addition to pension, equivalent to his salary and other allowances and facilities prescribed by Parliament in accordance with clause (3) of this article.
(5) The salary, allowances, facilities, pensions and gratuity referred to in clauses (3) and (4) shall be exempt from tax.

Why narrow everything down to this "running away" from JJ Rawlings just to pursue your anti-Bokor agenda?
At least, you cannot write as Bokor does. Yours is a quaint absurdity you call "poetry". Come on, give praise to Bokor where he deserves it.

They will not encourage Woyome,Subah,GYEEDA,SADA,Ridge hospital saga,Brazil world cup budget saga and brand Ghana that is directed to the office of the president.WE want all of them mention above to pay taxes too,What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. If not then we will all boycott taxes and stage uprising.

It is sad to read people comments attacking Dr Bokor instead of condemning those greedy bastard politicians who are not paying taxes whilst the ordinary hustler is paying huge taxes and doesn't even enjoy those free amenities being enjoyed by those crooks. It is about time all those crooks should start paying taxes.

Oh my God!Is it true that the president, vice president, speaker of the house and others do not pay taxes? It was a shocker to me.Who the hell created this law and why should Ghanaians tolerate this? Even in America(USA),the president and his staff are made to pay taxes. Moreover, these people travel abroad free of charge for medical chech ups if the need arises. Please Ghanaians repeal this law immediately. It was not created by God and for that matter,it can be ammended.Didn't the previous governments have the vision and wisdom to even think about aborting this stupid decree, law or whatever you call it? Problems in Ghana are the result of lack of leadership i.e vision to see proactively correct problems before they happen and even if the problem has been created, the vision to correct it.WE WANT LEADERS IN GHANA NOT CEREMONIAL PRESIDENTS OR MANAGERS.

Dr. Bokor's ignorance about the non-taxable status of Ghana'sf presidential income is startling. The emphasis is on the harm done to the economy by the non-payment of tax by the President and all those people, not necessarily because Bokor isn't aware of the Constitutional provisions.
And just to remind you of good grammar. You said "in the quest of nation building" which should read "in the quest for ..." instead.
Such an empty braggart as you are won't know more than you are allowed to know. Fool.

Bokor, masquerading as Bossman, seeks to impute my prepositional skill when he claims that I am wrong to write "In the quest of" and that the correct phrase should be "In the quest for". For his information, both forms are correct. Although relatively new to linguistics, Bokor belongs to the prescriptive grammarians whose faculties are ossified in Precambrian rules of English.
Bokor can deceive himself by claiming to know what he clearly did not know when he wrote, "I am more than dumbfounded to be told that all these years, the Presidents of Ghana and all those mentioned above have not been paying tax on their earnings! How despicable! How atrocious! How unpardonable!"
He can tickle himself any way he wants, but we know him for the empty shell he is.
