Ghana’s biggest opposition party, the NPP led by the Asante Akyem politicians have made it very difficult to see them in the mould of NATIONALISTS but in the image of people ready to carve their country up for themselves come what may – they would be angling for a government of IRON. Therefore, if you lie to a child, you have abused the minds of MANY GENERATIONS TO COME. Tell the children the TRUTH for it is the ONLY WAY TO SET THEM FREE. All members of the National Liberation Movement with “Mate-meho” as its local name which later became the United Party (UP) and which the NPP represent today have NEVER SPOKEN THE TRUTH since that tribal party was formed in 1954. One such tall liar is Ex-President J.A. Kufour who shamefully described the late Dr. J.B. Danquah as a “Patriotic Saint” and had even wanted to name the University of Ghana after that C.I.A. Agent and nation wrecker as well as a tribal warlord. The ideology of Dr. J.B. Danquah and Dr. Busia were the same just like today’s NPP which falsely believe that the ELITE ARE BORN TO RULE THE WORLD IN ANY NATION, and the MASSES SHOULD HAVE BEEN BORN AS SLAVES who are only useful during elections where they would vote for their masters period but must never be allowed in governance at all. So what they (NPP) want and have never been able to say it openly is that they (NPP) representing the Elite in Ghana, must always be in government and not any other political party or group. They argued blindly that since Dr. Nkrumah was a poor goldsmith’s son, with some “Ntafo” referring to the Northerners in his government and the CPP was also voted into power mostly by the ordinary people, Dr. Danquah and Busia considered the CPP government illegitimate and dangerous to society and hence must be destroyed JUST as the NPP is doing to the grassroot NDC government led by Prez. Mahama that won the general elections in 2012 by beating the tribal warlord on war path leading the NPP who is now breathing fire and brimstone to NOWHERE. You see, grey hairs are signs of wisdom, but if our grey haired statesmen like Ex-Prez. Kufour and scores of some crooks in cassocks could stand on political platforms and behind the Pulpits in their commercial Churches to feed the youth who form 80% of Ghana’s population with FAT LIES as described above, then Ghana’s future is very bleak indeed. Lies put up as propaganda remain lies no matter the political persuasion of the liar, and that explains why the NPP gurus always ran for cover whenever I take them on since 1992 to date.
THE UNDEMOCRATIC BEHAVIOUR OF J.B. DANQUAH AND HISALLIES AFTER THE 1956 ELECTIONS
In November 1957, a Commission of Enquiry, headed by a British Judge J.Jackson found serious ABUSES OF POWER BY THE AKYEM STATE COUNCIL, in terms of its willful promotion of the NLM (Mate-meho) as the SOLE POLITICAL PARTY OF THE STATE. In its findings, the Jackson Commission accused Nana Ofori Atta II of FAILING TO BEHAVE as an IMPARTIAL STATESMAN. He was also accused of using COERCION TO BRING OTHER CHIEFS INTO LINE TO SUPPORT THE dreaded NLM by force. In such cases, those chiefs were compelled to swear Oaths in support of J.B. Danquah and the NLM. Further more, the Commission found an abuse of power in the appointment of J.B. Danquah as Twafohene, and in the financial manipulation of the state council in favour of J.B. Danquah and the beastly NLM. Well, in the abundance of water the Fool becomes thirsty.
DANQUAH’S REACTION TO THE REPORT
During the Commission’s sittings, Danquah openly denounced the AUTHORITY OF THE GOVERNMENT with IMPUNITY by saying that THE PEOPLE OF AKYEM WERE NOT SUBJECT TO THE LAWS OF GHANA (See the Report of Jackson Commission 1958) what happened during the elections was that the people of Akyem Abuakwa REJECTED all the five NLM (Mate-meho) candidates including J.B. Danquah in the 1956 general elections. Now, because of the Jackson Commission’s Findings, Nana Kena II called a meeting of a section of the State Council at Kukurantumi on June 13th 1958, at which time Nana Ofori Atta II was deposed as the Omanhene of Akyem Abuakwa and Nana Kena II was rightly appointed as Regent (see Simensen 1975).
It would be recalled that Nana Ofori Atta II ruled with iron hands as he ordered his sub-Kings to evict all Kwahu traders who did not own their houses in the country and all the Kwahu traders were subsequently thrown out of their stores. Furthermore, Ofori Atta turned down an appeal by a forty member delegation of the Kwahu traders, and some Akyem landlords who showed sympathy with the evicted Kwahu traders were summoned to Kyebi for questioning, and Dr. J.B. Danquah echoed Ofori Atta’s lamentation that “Mother Akim Abuakwa is being dismembered SLICE BY SLICE LIKE bread on a breakfast table and future generations might have to rent from strangers their own ancestral land-This is nonsense because you can find thousands of huge buildings belonging to some people from Akyem Abuakwa in Accra. This the most wicked murderous man that Ex-Prez. Kufour have described as a “Patriotic Saint” by building his statues all over Accra, the seat of government. Why didn’t Kufour build Danquah’s statue at Kyebi since he was a tribal warlord from that town? Again, it will be recalled that one NPP M.P/Akosa shamefully stood in Ghana’s Parliament during Rawlings administration and stated that “Ashanti must break away from the rest of the country and go and find development partners abroad to come and develop Ashanti Region since Rawlings’ NDC had neglected the Ashanti Region. He was an apology of a Member of Parliament who went to parliament by default just as Ex-Prez. Kufour became President of Ghana by default. Was it not the NPP leaders led by Kufour who told Rawlings that we don’t eat roads, so He ust come and remove his asphalt roads from Kumasi. Was it not Kufour who pardoned NDC former ministers of NDC when they have finished serving their terms in prison in 2008? The evil that men do Lives after them. I am done I shall return when the need arise.

It is no secret that the enemies of progress who are the direct ancestors of those you identify with today, frustrated the Osagyefo in many ways and human as he was also put in measures to curtail those wayward activities. How dare you compare the Osagyefo to those die-hard dictators? If you have nothing meaningful to write towards the development of the country you better keep your mouth shut instead of coming out with issues which would raise emotions. Now for Kwame Nkrumah's education cannot be disputed.
Not even Dr Busia was a peer to Nkrumah despite his so-called Oxford English degree tauted by th NPP till today. The only reason being there are no known books written by Dr Busia. It is also well known at the time Busia used Twi slang to bamboozle the Brits kids in Oxford at his time. A trick similar to Nana Addo's "bleefo" today, the bane of the man all Ghanaians except the "yen akanfo" have rejected.
Dr Nkrumah undisputed man of the millenium. Also see cover page of 2011 TIME magazine. None of the three have any prime coverage. If at all it is the folly Bokassa noted as the granfather of Kufuor chain. Eyadema a non achiever but an ethnocentric bully. Then as for Mobutu a megalomeniach flatulent twerp with homes in Antwerp and leaving his Congolese to live in trees with their ancestors of humankind from the Apes to the neandertahls and practise cannibalism.

3. Educated Nkrumah knew Ghanaians can emancipate only through education hence his free education up to University level, well trained teachers, the trust secondary &technical collges built all over the country look how many years before President Bush' no child left behind in the USA.
4. Nkrumah vision again proved right how many years of the OAU/AU before the EU. Let no one be fooled by detractors of the Akyem, Addo Danquah, Addo Nana (NPP), Ahoofe tribalists.
5. Nkrumah right for Ghana to industrialize The Akosombo/VRA dam without which Ghana would have been living in the Dark ages. Opposed to the idea was who the West and the rest in #4. But an idea First in Africa if not the world at least the Lake was for a long time. What can compared to the TVA in the USA.
Etc. I can go on and on the Ghana Airways Kufuor sold it. There is no shipping Line in Ghan today.

This raging debate about who among our founding fathers and political leaders is no Balm of Gilead to soothe the pain and agony of the present generation. It will never succeed in turning frustration, despondency and disappointment into instant joy, nor will it turn the restless nights to blissful days. Oh how I wish we as a people will finally decide to de-empasize the glorification of the dead and think more about improving the quality of life for the living .
It's difficult to sway people's opinions over history and easy to lose grip on the nitty gritties of today because we get mired in the mud of yesterday. We can only prepare for tomorrow by doing our part today. Bring the debate on who was the greatest to its end today and let's get to work for the urgency of now far exceeds the argument over the lost and wasted years.

Afrifa also led a battalion to Nkrumah's home town, Nkroful, which was littered with mud houses which included his own and his mother's and destroyed them. Crazy; wasn't it? "And here, it is significantly instructive to observe that none of the myriad putsches and coup detats have been staged by any other than bona fide members of the Ghanaian military. Granted, some rascal civilians are known to have staunchly backed regressivley Darwinian means of political access, including a world-renowned University-educated former prime minister. Interestingly, in July 1956, when President Nkrumah's Convention People's Party (CPP) won a landslide victory, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia rode herd on a delegation to the British office in London, to petition the British Crown, and Ghana's extant colonial overlord, to desist from granting the already-scheduled return of Ghana to self-governance. Fortunately, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia and his right-wing bourgeois reactionaries did not succeed. He would, however, succeed ten years later in backing the military junta that unseated the Nkrumah administration and facilitated the precipitous devolution of Ghanaian national destiny.
Indeed, it is interesting to observe that Ghana's major and, to-date, only international airport is named for General E.K. Kotoka, the very Darwinian outlaw who spearheaded the grossly unimaginative overthrow of the constitutionally elected government of the CPP. For many detractors and outright enemies of Nkrumah, Kotoka's greatest—if also sole—achievement was simply getting rid of an elected dictator. It has often been said, largely by Western academics, that Nkrumah was a heartless and fatuous dictator; these days, one hears Mr. Jerry John Rawlings, the career soldier who ran Ghana for twenty harrowing incontrovertibly bloody years, described as a "benign dictator." It is significant to observe that Mr. Rawlings, whose agnatic parentage is purported to be Scottish, presided over the dastardly kidnapping and summary execution of three Ghanaian supreme court judges, all of whom belonged to a single ethnic nationality.
When one agrees with the Western ideological mythology that Nkrumah was a raw-boned dictator bereft of vision, then it begins to make sense that Kotoka's statue should continue to command the august facade of Accra International Airport, thus perpetually humiliating those of us who incurably believe in democratic governance. Needless to say, the 1966 Kotoka-led coup initiated the barbaric, neo-colonial military dynasty that Ghanaian continue to suffer….
That Ghana's post-colonial political dilemma transcends military dictatorship cannot be honestly gainsaid. In fact, many of the most vociferous civilian opposition party leaders, some of whom are currently sitting in parliament, representing misguided and hoodwinked constituents, are known to have collaborated with Kotoka's so-called National Liberation Council to unseat President Nkrumah. It is also significant to observe that these largely superannuated rascals and executive national, fiduciary muggers continue to dominate whatever passes by the name of "the legitimate opposition." This state of affairs, coupled with a largely under-educated and under-informed electorate, has made it almost impossible to rectify the prevailing socioeconomic chaos ravaging the country.”

Remember no govt. can have 100% support from the citizenry. That being the case, you will alwys have people who are happy when a govt is overthrown. In the case of Nkrumah's repressive policies which many want to play on I have said it over and over again that not many democrats can go through what Nkrumah went through and still remain calm. When you are attacked left righ and centre and the state institutions which are to protect you are in bed with the opposition, what else can you do. Remember busia could not stand one court ruling against him. Nkrumah sat and saw the people who were trying to kill him being set free by the courts. many of these people in later years admitted to commiting these crimes. as for Dr. Sackey and Krobo Edusei, you don't want to go there. Krobo edusei was a sycophant and also one of the dark horses in the Nkrumah regime. Sackey as many confidants of Nkrumah have said was promised a job by the NLC and sycophantic as he was, he took the bait. Having said that i also think it was intelletualy dishonest on your part to cite these two people as evidencee that nkrumah failed. There are many good people who stayed true to Nkrumah to the end. You should also know from your experience thre are moles in governments.

I have met not less than 100 or so professors in my life!! All these learned men and women hardly insult and come to hasty conclusions and silly judgements based on sheer hatred and envy!! Nkrumah left Ghana without taking a pillow away from Ghana!! He never ever had a single bedroom house!! Eeven when he built an estate and gave the mother's name on it- Nyaniba, some people opposed it!! Did anyone of you ever read anythiong about the missing driller ship account of $3.5m as a contribution from Okoampa, the all knowing university professor whose cousin can "deliver" Ghana from our under-development! He was blatantly silent and when there were hue and cry that it was under his cousin's stewardship as the Attorney General when the driller ship was sold and what happened before they could not trace the rest of the money!! Recently, a professor of History, Professor Asamoah wrote about the wicked exposure and betrayal that the so called "Big Six" (without Nkrumah himself not reporting about the alleged "offence" for Kwame writing the speech to the Ex-Servicemen and the final 1948 riots that were supposedly to have brought a lot of hardships to the colonial masters one way rule. Nkrumah was used as a scape goat and when the evidence abounds in the archives, Okoampa thinks he is smart a professor ! So he either runs and writes about other distortion here and there as a strategy to either mitigate the gravity of what people are analysing and which might be implicating the character of his so called family, or he attempts always by diverting the reading public's attention from the truth!!
You all might have read how this Okoampa descended on formwer Presisdent Kugffour for showing his liking for Alan Cash from the beginning of their 2007 flagbearership??
Who is this man, Okoampa!! A confusionist or a revisionist who wants to show he knows it all, even though he might have a lot of time at the community school to be gossipping around!! He is too thin on researches that might be of benefit to fellow human beings but why should a such a man always think of the worst for people or rather enjoy attempting to defame people here and there!! How dare such an infinitesimal unimportantr person try to make himself so assertive and want to condemn the Osagyefoe, whose contributions when erased would render Nkrumah a stone aged nation!! What has Okoampa suggested or postulated that can be of benefit to Ghanaians as is expected of academicians whose heads are sharper than razor blades?? When did Okoampa become a historian, with such gargantuan lies and illogical analysis. Show us how Bokassa, Eyadema and Mobutu who stole their nations money to buy castles in France and ruled for many many years of which Eyadema alone ruled for 38 years while Nkrumah ruled from 1957-1966, just 8.5 years!!
