After all if they could find a murdered colleague under the foundations of an uncompleted building why not a lost/stolen baby at KATH.

First, I wanna express my sincere condolences to the Suwaiba family for loosing this poor baby through the highest form of unprofessional, irresponsible, careless and heartless behavior of the KATH. I also wanna thank the writer, Festival Godwin Boateng for bringing this unfortunate tragedy to our attention. Good job!
Second, I understand the writer's frustrations, and I perfectly agree with him. The problem here is that, this is a typical example of institutional failure in Ghana, and Africa as a whole. Things are even worst for the fact that there are no laws in Ghana at the moment. The few laws deal drastically with the poor, illiterate , ignorant, and the powerless. If you are a midwife, good for you! Because, you're untouchable! But, God forbid , if you're a " watchman", my goodness, you will be arrested even if the case has nothing to do with you. All the injustices are currently directed towards the poor and needy in our communities. This is really sad. That's why some of us are so worried! I also wanna add my voice and ask the same question: "What has the watchman got to do with the unprofessional practice and irresponsible behavior of these ignorant midwives at KATH? " Posterity will judge us all at the approperiate time.This kind of attitude makes me sick in my butt, for real! But you know what? Only time will tell! Thanks.
