Massa you stated,
"Ghanaians are not apt to be able to effectively help a government that sports an unsavory pathological siege mentality, and one that pretends that every critic, regardless of critical tenor, is an inveterate enemy that ought to be chased out of the public arena of our national political discourse".
Massa, you're right on the money because Atopa and his crew wouldn't listen, and besides that, they are very suspicious of any critic.
What have they done ever since they came to office, except increase their salaries to over 130% and made it retroactive to January 2009?
If they meant business to lead the country in the right direction, they would have to tackle issues like human capital development, comprehensive address system, capital investments like power and rail network, agricBusiness, manufacturing and industrialization, and self sustaining /reliance - Ghana Corporate Governance Manual, et cetera.
1. Human Capital Investment: They would have brainstorm to make our system think in order to churn out half a million to million PhDs' that are absorb-able and not avoidable to the economy annually. Can they do it; I doubt it but don't quote me on this.
However, SHS must be free, and not free indiscipline money to fraudsters in GYEEDA. Where there's a will there's a way to achieve this.
2. If they meant business, they would have laid the foundation for a real take off such as:
Right To Information act.
Implement comprehensive address system entailing area codes and so on because the benefits are ginormous.
Promulgated unique id cards act.
National database.
Enacted Independent Attorney-general.
Enacted Permanent Records keeping system.
Strengthened national service.
Added conscription to lessen unemployment in the country.
Promulgated Tankas or sanitation inspectors to engender some semblance of sanity in the environment.
Benefits:
· Speedy emergency services delivery such as crime fighting, profiling and ambulance services to reach emergency cases and determining the shortest routes to hospitals.
· Urban Planning and Development.
· Marketing analysis.
· Retail planning and management of territory.
· Determination of insurance premiums by insurance companies.
· Loan risk analysis and identification of customers by banks.
· Local government tax collection analysis, projections and targeting.
· Utilities planning and billing.
· Incorporation to national identification system.
· National electoral register.
· Credit profiling of citizens.
3. In terms of capital investments, how about opening up the virgin country for real development through laying of just 12k dual-carriage rail tracks network?
How about the upgrading the country's energy capacity to just 12k megawatts?
4. One of the easiest things to do in order to accelerate development is implementing the constitutional review committee's report/recommendations, i.e allowing decentralization to flourish, direct elections of local gov't reps, instead of stifling it to inertia centralized/unison system that's anything but quintessential display of selfishness, and tyranny.
One person can never ever be the repository of all wisdom/solutions.
Let's decentralize already, haba. Kwamena Ahwoi is to be blamed for the decentralization stagnation. Power freak/drunk!

i beg to differ so i best illustrate the point so its clear . this your govt is overwhelmed by events and has not only failed but its a catastrophic disaster beyond what we could ever imagine and every day they stay in power is another year it will take to repair the damage . we are all equal before God but not all are ready or capable to rule and this is a fact of nature that all tribalists are in reality incompetent to rule . imagine what would happen to the German economy if in the name of equality and human rights together with election rigging they were to up with a govt predominantly comprised of minorities like Turks , Arabs and gypsies , most certainly within less than a year their vibrant economy would collapse . or for that matter the USA allow the typical niggers ,former pimps, dealers , hustlers and rednecks take over ? yet we in Ghana are best with the first idiot Nkrumah and since then almost every president has been made in that image. we are all surprised how come we are never able to achieve progress despite the fact that everything we need is already there or within easy reach . we are plagued with bad evil leadership and now is not the time to refrain from speaking the truth or criticizing . only a fool can hope that this govt is not headed for the first ditch around the bend . in fact its very wrong to mislead the people into thinking there is hope if we are to assist these northerners and ewes now . we should tell our people the truth , there is no way we can expect anything but a hell on earth from this alliance and all we should do is conserve our energies for the aftermath . kuffuor should know better but it seems he is blinded by his 30 year friendship with the mahamas , if he is a true friend to pepeni the best he can do is to advise him to resign immediately before its too late otherwise things might just spiral out of control and we shall have an uprising of the people or war

......striking example of such shabby statesmanship when Mr. Kufuor defied the common stance of the NEC........! Indeed! Were you there? Why can people of your ilk pontificate on matters they know next to nothing about. For the benefit of ignorant you, the NEC decided that Prez Kufuor could attend! Some uselessly wicked people like you twisted the facts and organized people led by your cousin, Kofi 123 to stage a demonstration of no consequence in front of Prez Kufuor's premises. Please, for your information, your write-ups are worthless and it would pay you well if you would allow your self to grow up!!

I AMAZED AT WHAT OKUAMPA INTENDS ACHIEVING SINCE KUFOUR IS NOT DISABLED MENTALLY NOR PHYSICALLY. WHY WOULD 'MR KNOW ALL' EVEN ATTEMPT TO INSULT KUFOUR INTELLIGENCE BY TRYING TO TELL GHANAIANS WHAT HE(KUFOUR)MEANT (PROBABLY OR NOT)? THIS IS INDEED A USELESS AND MEANINGLESS ARTICLE CALCULATED TO SERVE THE SELFISH INTEREST OF OKUAMPA "THE SCRIBE" OF AKYEM MAFIA.
