Its time the president demand performance from his appointees. Non-performing ministers need to be fired. It is also time for Ghanaians to demand accountability from their leaders. It starts by fighting corruption. There are so many projects that has been abandoned. Example look at the Accra-Kumasi highway and the mess around Suhum. Look at the sofoline interchange and the mess of around that area. However what does the government do - borrow more money and start a new interchange at Nkrumah circle. Look at the mess in our current existing universities and what does the government do - start a new university in volta region. Unless we get our priorities right, the economic crisis would continue. I remeber arguing with a friend some years back when the oil production begun. He was insistant that the oil will generate enough revenue to solve oue economic crisis. We are now a oil prodcuing country and the crisis seem to be worsening. As pointed out in the article now the crisis in blamed on high rise buildings. Such idiotic rumblings from the very people who are leading the country. All that one can do is to hope that one day it will be well.

the gov should first and foremost reduce its running expenditure. Maybe close one or two ministries and send a bunch of people who sit from morning till night idle while depleting the gov's coffers home for good. Give companies more freedom and scrap these crazy foreign exchange regulations, or they will scrap GH.
I don't like to admit it but the NDC's Abraham Amaliba has a point. In China too, many high rise building and complete shopping malls stand empty. It's a big bet; are you willing to play?
