DUNCAN WILLIAMS IS SUFFERING DISGRACE FOR THE VERY OPPOSITE REASONS- THE LOVE OF MONEY.The disciples of Jesus seemed to consider their primary task that of preaching the word rather than accumulating cedis or wealth. This is sheer foolishness. This reminds me of another idiot who told his congregation during the old/new year church service that "this coming year I will speak the truth". But no one questioned him about the lies he had been telling them previously. Jesus Christ never prayed for material wealth, but admonished his followers to to pray for God's Kingdom first for all other things will be provided. These pastors by their saying and deeds are leading their followers to nowhere. And this is what Christ said about them, "by their fruits ye shall know them". I think Duncan William should pray for the kenkey to increase in size. "And kenkey I command you to listen and obey him." Amen.

Why did Jesus command the wind and the waves instead of praying for strength for his disciples. The bible says all things seen and unseen were created by God through words. In prayer, there is prophetic declaration and intercession. What is the Arch Bishop's crime? For praying for good days in our country? He did not say we should not work; he just prayed prophetically; and you in your gross ignorance is analysing prayer on the basis of targeting the subject instead of the object. Why did Elisha speak to an axe head to float instead of praying for favour for the man who lost it. You are Spiritually ignorant. The Arch Bishop did not say we should not work; he just prayed prophetically. Look through the bible and you will find a lot of prophetic prayers commanding objects.

Please read your Joshua story again because the apparent movement of the sun, remember it is not true in today's knowledge, was a sign after his submission to the Almighty. I guess you obviously remember the joke of an infantry soldier who was court martial during the second world war for saying that Mighty Hitler will win the war. His simple respond was that ~my mouth be gun~? forgetting the weight of his utterance had on the moral of the troops. There is problem which needs solution and we must remind ourselves that general prayers for the economic management team is OK but we must be seen as doing our part by working hard. Thanks

You see, the apparent movement of the sun is not wrong in today's knowledge. When we talk of the apparent movement of the sun, we are talking of the rising of the sun from the east and going down at the west. This is well taught in geography at any level where reasons are assigned for this phenomenon. The apparent movement of the sun is what the naked eye of man sees with the sun trekking from east to west apparently daily. This is caused by the rotation of the earth. If you read the bible carefully you will know that Joshua was referring to the apparent movement of the sun and not the fixed sun in space.Joshua 10:3 reads Josh 10:13b "The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day." NIV. So you could see he as a lay man was referring to the apparent movement of the sun from east to settling down in the west, which would bring darkness. So please if you do not know what 'apparent' means don't say 'it is not true in today's knowledge,'
Now pat, the analogy on Jesus' prayer in relation to the archbishop's prayer for the cedi instead of the people of Ghana is not that of the wind and the boat; it is the wind and the disciples. So the Lord Jesus commanded the wind instead of praying for his disciples directly, just as the archbishop commanded the cedi instead of praying for Ghanaians.
The problem with the last part of your thinking is that. The Archbishop prayed in his church. he did not go to the flag staff house or the BOG or the MoFEP. to tell the staff to stop working. He is a pastor, and pastors are to pray in church! Don't you get it? he did not say 'stop work and stop thinking. 'Lastly, If prayer demoralises you as your world war 2 friends, then it is serious.
The point is, he prayed in church and the prayer he prayed is common in the bible and he never said we should stop working.
