Sam Kweku do you know how much of Ghana's budget is spent on Accra? Because of that Accra's problem will get worse UNLESS maybe the gov't uses the north Vietnamese method of FORCED repatriation from the city to the countryside. Yes, Ghana, instead of getting bigger is dwindling to only Accra.

Please, don't put all the blame on poor Alfredp O. Vanderpuije.
We should blame our system of governance - both central and local, hopelessly devoid for years of any semblance of accountability, transparency and verification. Okoe or Mahama or Kufuor or Rawlings don't have to do what is expected of them, if we lack structures that demand verification, transparency and accountability. And we are all to blame for not ensuring that we have these structures in place. And this is also why we have problem with corruption.

If the mayor needs to know the tempo of opinion on the street, he only needs to read this.
