I hope George Abugri would find somewhere better to direct his satirical writings other than this medium, especially an occassion like this where the Poor and the Desperate Ghanaian is seeking to have some answers from the leadership as to why a Rich country like Ghana continues to perform abysmally.
George Abugiri should be better served to use his proper knowledge in Economic Journalism to acquaint the Ghanaian Reader as to what has been "achieved" under this Corruptive NDC Administration and why people are taking to the streets in droves, instead of thinking he is pulling something from the bag for the poor and the desperate to laugh about.
Could George please tell us what other Newspaper has come out in support of the Guardian publication??
Could his Daily Graphic come out to publish something to reflect the so called 7% Growth in the Ghanaian Economy??
You may find that it may only be a 7% Growth in CORRUPTION at the HIGHEST PLACES and NOT the overall Economy!!!

Sydney, are you sure The late Prez Mills was that modest? Have you soon forgotten that on his last trip from a medical check-up abroad, a lot of fun fair and political gymnastics by party apparatchiks were displayed at the airport? The long presidential convoy continued under Mills and it's being done under Mahama.Apart from the swearing in of Mills at the parliament house before the legislature where he pretended to go with less cars in his convoy, the rest of his rule was marked by the usual long convoy. I observed this a couple of times in Accra.
I actually think practically, no president can help much as the convoys comprise, his personal security, paramedics, and other members of his team. Remember, Prez Kuffour nearly died a commoners death from a freak accident at Opeibea Junction as there were no paramedics and tight security following him on his way to work.
