That Akufo-Addo should write his memoirs only if he does not want to contest a third time? And then, what?
What is the message? What shall we discuss? Idle and hollow speculation?

This is an article that comes from the pen of one of Ghanaweb"s most prolific columnists.
Individual readers can make up their mind it, but certainly it is consistent with Kofi's trademark objectivity. Remember, he is not engaged in predicting the future. He's trying to put meaning into present or past events. The author is on the one hand merely surmising, but on the other, providing "evidence" on which his surmising is based. Since we are dealing with humans -and since the author has not laid any claim to supernatural abilities- it is only natural that he -author has no absolute knowledge- of neither Nana Akuffo-Addo's present mind nor of his -latter's- future plans. To a certain extent, the same can be said of Nana, regarding the future. He does not control it.
None of the above prevents the write-up that the author has spent time and intellectual effort to come up with. Those looking for authors with "crystal-ball visions and accurate knowledge of future events" are advised to read the mandatory footnote on "Forward-looking Statements" to financial reports of companies listed on reputable stock exchanges. Again, I wrote the article early afternoon yesterday before news broke out in the evening that Nana Akufo-Addo is writing his autobiography. Then, today it is reported that he gave a speech in London which suggested that he is more likely to contest again. All these do not answer the question "will he contest or not but rather made the water murkier. That is precisely why I could not be conclusive because I cannot understand why someone writing his political autobiography in 2015 or next year would want to stand for President in 2016.
I think ghanaman has done an excellent job responding to your comments. Perhaps, you may be able to help me. In your own minds and following development so far and the hide and seek by Nana Akufo-Addo on this matter, are you certain whether he will contest the NPP flagbeareship or not?

You know very well, he is the only one Oxford University can release such personal information, if he petitions them for an official response. There are limits to an FOI request.
Since he knows how to petition, this shoulf not be a problem. He must make sure they search with the right name and not "Akofo Addo", as they did in your case! Otherwise, he will have a hard time from The Odikro.
