I have been privy to know that at the early stages of the Atta-Mills-John Mahama administration, the infamous NYEP offices needed photo-ID badges for its staff and beneficiaries alike. What do you suppose happened, Mr. Boateng? While the NYEP at the time was headed by Obuga Pele, there were mid-level administrators at the NYEP who were staunch NPP partisans and decided to ensure the interest of their pocket and pockets of other NPP partisans in the UK who were willing to sell a useless ID badge setup for a fee. I challenge you Mr. Boateng to investigate the NYEP badge system and you'll find that the badge cannot tell who is a legitimate NYEP staff and or beneficiary, and you darn sure will not know if the badge presented is a duplication neither can you or holder of a typical NYEP badge-iD can use the badge for anything worthwhile (identification or security) in the future. It is this and other foolish reasons of partisan and ideological nature that drives Ghana to seek secured systems at our ports and harbors, oil fields, government offices and our court houses.
It’s a shame our partisan politics infused with tribal bigotry has led us to act without wisdom and to mismanage money like there is no tomorrow or due dates coming to pay the piper. China and its appendage contractor did Ghana's current network infrastructure and screwed Ghana royally. Why are you now worried about a continued screwing of a nation of educated yet immature and useless leaders at the parliament and or judiciary who are busy looking for Mr. Goodbar instead of looking out for deviations from adherence from principles and procedures?
