Thanks for your observation on such matters. I have always said, that current influence of the western nations or bodies in Africa is more complicated and entangling than colonial times. Generation after the other, a hopeless and disappointing baton changes hands making even better to live in past colonial occupation days than today, as a result of current mental annexation of western nations in Africa.
You along the line answered yourself so much in your article about the problems we are in today as Africans. What I can say is that persistently we Africans are made to think too inferior of ourselves perpetrated both from internal and external of the continent. How do you expect an ECOWAS Court without proper setup operating laws adjudicate on matters between individual nationals and states in the first place? What power has ECOWAS Court over individual states if it has no common operating laws set for it, too inferior to deal with even ordinary simple cases of its own citizens.
I have the view, that what we call international laws is nothing than western interests. Now, western states interests have power to set standards to measure any thing rather than human morals and conscience. Thus to say, that whatever serves a good course or of interest to America and Europe must be law to govern the world, instead of the intriguing essence of conscience and morality. They are behind democracy and manipulation of international laws insidiously forming an empire to rule the world in a rather complicated nature that sooner than later there would be no longer freedom than before. But, unfortunately our leaders stand and stare like sheep waiting for slaughter without clue about the problems, let alone answers to how to liberate the continent.

This is a very wonderful presentation by a true Ghanaian and African.. What is ECOWAS doing to liberate it's people and think for itself? I 'm in solidarity with the writer. African must wake up

I somehow agree about self-governance in Africa, but if the so called leaders rather take pleasure in enslaving and killing their own people, then i careless which court tries them for their wrong doings....
