Zeus, Okoampa is not exactly young. He was born in 1958 and he said himself that he was a kid running after his big brothers who were in the Young Pioneers and wanting to be dressed like them. Okoampa saw a bit of the Nkrumah time and must have started school before Nkrumah was overthrown. He must have started school when free education was already implemented and he enjoyed it to the full.
Indeed, Okoampa was an admirer of Nkrumah before he has now turned against him perhaps because he now thinks the side you support in Ghanaian politics should be dictated more by your blood links than by ideological convictions.
There is some hypocrisy and confusion in Okoampa's thoughts. And there is a lot of frustration in the man too.
Fortunately, he does not convince many on ghanaweb.

The idiot lied when he said the idea of free education was mooted in the 1930s and 40's by late Mr. William (Paa Willie) Ofori-Atta. Can he tell us how many people even benefited from Paa Willie's pocket in terms of free education? If anything, those beneficiaries should be his immediate family members and not all the Adjoas, Kofis, Owusus, Oseis or Ankamahs roaming his domain.
Nkrumah was a mortal who achieved immortality through his commitment to better the lives of Ghanaians born and unborn.
