This machine belongs to a person who is so capricious that, he could shut down the lights in heaven were they supplied by the Electricity Come and Go company of Ghana. God is lucky the sun does not lose its power from time to time, otherwise were the situation so, and He would have had to buy power from ECG, it would be at the crucial moments that He would experience power outage without prior notice. For example, when He God would be sitting on a case involving a pastor and an armed robber who have just transited to the great beyond.

Pretentiously philosophical but philosophically bankrupt article with lousy analogies. How did we get here? ECG now has nearly 3 Million customers, mostly unwilling to pay. If you need to be reminded non-payment is why the Prepaid meters were introduced. They are mostly non-existent in Western Europe where it is a civic duty to pay for electricity consumption. Some 15 to 20% of the power is stolen by us Ghanaians. We know the perpertrators but cover them up - typically Ghanaian attitude. If customer are disconnected they reconnect themselves if you send them to court it takes forever. As for your last needless question you should have contacted the GSA; in any case they just acquired the hardware and skills to be able to test the meters.

I also enjoyed reading the article but since I don't live in Ghana, I missed the whole picture and the story. Very good examples though.
