The challenges faced by the Hohoe SDA JHS though serious and unacceptable, are not unique. In fact, other schools don't even boast the "new buildings" spoken of here. Nonetheless it is time we refocused attention on resources for our primary and junior high schools to build a solid human foundation for our future leaders.
By the way the issue of the pupils' inability to express themselves freely and articulate their views clearly is more a case of lacking in CONFIDENCE which of course is partly the result of lack of EDUCATIONAL EXPOSURE and INSPIRATIONAL TEACHING and ENCOURAGEMENT which puts some pupils ahead of others.
I am rather curious and disappointed that the writer Mr Adjeetey himself appears to be telling us half-truths or untruths when he starts what appears to be a genuine story telling us he has been at the school for 2 months "on national service", only to end up telling us he is a "freelance journalist".
Unless I am mistaken, how do we believe your whole story if you cannot be clear in telling us exactly who you are? May be you "freelance" as a journalist, but are a recent graduate on national service? Come clean please.
