These Jehu Appiahs will do anything for money including collecting becoming a front for their agenda as brilliantly stated by Atikpo thus:
"I know, and I have information from all over the place, there are people behind these people (Jehu Appiah and Kwesi Pratt), who are being paid and giving them money to talk against GM foods without having concrete information about the technology and the modalities involved" hahahaaaha!
Without GM crops can everyone fast as the Witches of Gomoa's own 'Gambaga Witch Camp' controlled by the lying siblings of this writer? No way...Where there is Jehu Appiah, run...Its all white lies...
If the Jehu Appiahs had not wasted the century of collection of tithes on polygamous lifestyles, and rather invested in farms than catching witches in Awoyo Church would there be so much hunger that Ghanaians will crave for GM Food crops? Or for now go into farming? or they should eat grass, Ali the Madman...

Did Dr Margaret Atikpo, of the CSIR really say people rejecting GM foods have no concrete information about the technology and the modalities involved? Has she herself watched these documentaries -"The world according to Monsanto" and "Seeds of Death" - before supporting GMOs. To proof their point Food Sovereignty Ghana therefore need to spread these documentaries through social media for Ghanaians to watch on Youtube.
Are we going to enslave ourselves forever by being dependent on Monsanto? Seeds were made by God for all humanity to enjoy but now Monsanto want to claim ownership through the effect of their GMOs. Our timber and gold are getting finished and very soon there will be nothing to be used in exchange for the things we get from outside. Meanwhile we want to give our food also to Monsanto before that dreadful time catch up with us. No Ghanaians let us watch the documentaries and have the cause to join FSG in the fight against its introduction into the country.

I was so surprise when a doctor advocating for women affected by Breast cancer said they dont know the cause of the disease...Dr must know that diet a big reason why we fall sick and that some foods we eating lately are the results of these. I hear Government is bringing vaccination for cervical cancer, that is what I am talking about. These vaccines from another country, and as we continue eating these GM foods here and encourage its total control there will be disaster...Then government will be indebted unless it stops the NHIS cos disease will abound than we are seeing.

FSG is a puppet of GreenPeace. Don't let them fool you into thinking this is a totally homegrown idea.
Regarding the safety of GMOs, there is no clinical proof that anyone has ever been harmed by ingesting GMO products. Golden Rice has the potential to eliminate Vitamin A deficiency around the world. No Monsanto or Syngenta- public research for a public good. The seeds are free and can be saved from year to year, and yet activists like FSG burn the fields before they can be tested because they are afraid of the results. The "West" is not trying to enslave us on this one.
End the fear mongering and look at the evidence- GMOs have an incredible potential to help our farmers do more with less. Let's let SCIENCE decide instead of listening to the ideologues at FSG or the agribusiness people.

Informed farmer: I think you are a bit uninformed and very ignorant! Why has Europe rejected GMO? Why has India rejected GMO? Where was science when pregnant women were given Thalidomide, with the resulting deformities till this date? Was it not the same "science" that told consumers that smoking Camel, would help digestion? And today with so many millions having lung problem all around the globe. Where is science when chemotherapy is killing millions? With people like you in Ghana, without any in-depth knowledge or research work - academic idiocy - Ghana will never prosper. If you really care to know; if you want to have the facts, and indeed you are actually a farmer with the nation at heart, then e-mail me: kafuiakpoblu@hotmail.com

Brother Kafui Kaetozena,
How are you?
I definitely knew you will be here. This topic is dear to your heart, as it's to mine.
The problem I am having with some of my friends is their level of scientific ignorance about GMOs.
I shall be happy if this so-called informed farmer will take time to read the effects Thalidomide had on pregnant women in Europe and their unborn children. Indeed, our scientific conscioussness is very low.
If the West won' eat GMOs, why must we? Is it because humans in the West are more human than Africans?
Charity begins at home, they say. Let the West begin to eat GMOs and Africans will rethink their decision. I shall send you an email within the week.
Thanks.

The tobacco lobby told us there was no harm to humans from tobacco while suppressing the evidence for decades. Monsanto goes to great lengths to suppress any possible adverse studies and research. Most of the regulators have been their employees or grant recipients. There has been no human testing on GMOs, Ghanaians would be the guinea pigs. Animal testing of the GMO diet shows harm to all organs of the body, particularly the digestive, reproductive, and immune systems. The toxic chemicals that GMOs require to grow have shown many harmful and deadly effects on humans.
Golden rice has been a waste of time and money and a hoax, with many lies told about how it is supposed to save children. They tried testing it on Chinese children without telling the parents.
Debunking the golden rice myths:
gmwatch.org/index.php/golden-rice-could-save-a-million-kids-a-year
GMOs are not about science, they are about money. They are a resource grab by western corporations for the natural resources of Ghana and Africa.

WE THE PEOPLE OF AFRICA ARE NO LONGER STUPID. GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN THESE WESTERNERS TRIED OUT THEIR NEW DRUGS ON US TO SEE THE REACTION BEFORE GIVEN TO THEIR CITIZENS.
THEY'VE BEING REJECTED BY THEIR OWN, SO WHY SHOULD WE ACCEPT IT. WE CAN GO ABOUT OUR OWN TRADITIONAL WAY OF FARMING AND WE WILL BE FINE. BY THE WAY HAVE YOU TRIED THE VEGGIES? YOU CAN'T EVEN CHEW IT. IT'S LIKE A CARDBOARD, AND IT DOESN'T COOK.

I just finished reading your well-written and well-argued piece. Now, your enemies are channeling their frustrations into conspiracy theories, blaming your organization for entertaining monetary inducements.
How shameful! Have they given you proofs?
I guess they are losing the war against Food Sovereignty Ghaha.
Please let's do our best to have GMOs outlawed in Ghana (and Africa). The West must beging eating GMOs before passing them on to us.
Take the unfounded asssertions by your detractors as a diversionary tactic.
