Kwame, what a miserable, blinkered, and fundamentally stupid way of looking at the allegations carried by the New Free Press, and the attempt by the country's National Media Commission to investigate the journalistic conduct of the New Free Press.
The NMC as the country's media watchdog can launch an investigation on its own initiative as a standard procedure in relation to its duties as the regulator. This isn't a case of the NMC playing the role of the Police!
However, if the New Free Press carried alleged criminal activity of important national/public interest, and given the very serious accusations levelled at Otumfuo Osei Tutu III to suggest criminal activity, then most certainly it's the responsibility and duty of the Police to launch rigorous criminal investigation into the allegations to establish the veracity of the allegations!

What's your problem, Okoampa? The NMC has every right to look into the conduct of newspapers and their journalist. Read Article 167b of Ghana's Constitution.

I am more concerned about the lack of definitive temporal span for the investigation. The tardy "Atta-Mills Approach" of "at the right time" or "in due course" will not do.
