These two fleas are sitting in Florida. One is shivering like crazy, saying "that has got to be the coldest ride I have ever had in my life!"
"How did you get here?" asks the other flea.
"I was in the mustache of some guy riding his motorcycle down the freeway."
"That is no way to travel to Florida" says the flea."Here is what you do. Go to the airport and find a lounge. Have a sip of someone's drink so you are relaxed. Find a really pretty girl and crawl up her leg and under her dress.G o inside her panties and you will find a nice warm place to curl up and fall asleep. The next thing you know, you are in Florida! Remember that for next time.We will get together next year and you can tell me how it went!"
The following year, the two fleas are back in Florida and the first
one is shivering like crazy. "That is the coldest f*%#in' ride to
Florida I have had in my life!!!"
"What happened to the advice I gave you last year?"
"I did everything you told me to do! I went to the airport and found the lounge. I had a sip of someone's drink and I was good and relaxed. I saw this gorgeous girl so I crawled up her leg and under her dress. I went into her panties and found this warm, furry place to curl up and fall asleep. The next thing I knew, I was in the mustache of some guy riding his motorcycle down the freeway!!"
Our Politicians are like the Flea who listen to advice but are very careless and stupid. They repeat the same thing and end up the same way.

I am not gonna argue for or against it but I will say this article is in good taste. If you are that experienced argue your point intellectually and stop writing jibrish just because you wanna write something. YOU RATHER make sense next time you comment and contribute to Ghana moving forward and not senseless bashing of people who are trying

The Ghanaian local proverb says:
When you are a over an issue involving a human being and a wolf, if the wolf is right, give the right to the wolf, even though it takes it to the woods.
Nkrumah did not steal his great success and excellent name. He earned it.
How come no kid in Ghana not to talk about Togo or anywhere in Africa, has ever head the name Danquah?.
Has it ever come commonsensically to you that why is it that since the dogs("NLC") devoured Ghana on 24/2/66 you guys have been killing Messiah Nkrumah's name and burrying it, but it has always geminated and surfaced and blossomed?. Have u ever asked your "white"man-slave selves why?
"The Bomb was not thrown on me as Nkrumah, but to Ghana and Africa through me.........
to be continued if you like.

I am beginning to think that many Ghanaians who have voluntarily chosen to 'excuse themselves' from the difficulties of the development process to go AWOL and seek solace in the bosom of our oppressors, are as equally befuddled as some of those so-called Ghanaian intellectuals and academics who are always getting in-between the sensibilities of our legs to put truth on its head.
If people like this Akoto Yankey and the herd of people who call themselves Danquah-Busiaists (whatever that means), peg the monumental achievements of the Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah at par value with those whose only known achievements was their opposition to kwame Nkrumah by terrorist means and to finally overthrow him in a terrorist coup d'etat, then may the good Lord forgive you and them for your transgressions, "for you know not what you do".
It pains me endlessly that flesh and blood Ghanaians, products of Kwame Nkrumahs independence of Ghana effort and African nationalist agenda, like yourself, are so cerebrally incapacitated that you cannot see - or by some unfortunate flagrant misdemeanor, you choose not to see why Nkrumah was openly and globally chosen as the African of the millennium. If an international audience can single Nkrumah out as the African of the millennium, how much more of Ghana? Even Nigerians in spite of all their shortcomings, are crying out that if we Ghanaians do not like Nkrumah as our mascot, then we should sell his copyright to them so that they can use his image to lend them some prestige and pride.
What business do we have in considering the accumulated non-performance of others as also being qualified to benefit from the accolade of 'Founders' of Ghana? Are we to water down the important value of 'Founder' to the insipid and typical Ghanaian level of mediocrity for the benefit of a few opportunists? No way!
If that be the case others, such as Ekyem Fergusson, Paa Grant, Sakyi, Aggrey as well as some farmers and a few Chiefs who resisted European terrorist colonization, and who by their acts and deeds contributed much much more to the evolution towards the independence of Ghana, should also have their names included in the founders list. Indeed by that logic, all living Ghanaians at the time who supported the independence movement should have their names included in the Founders list.
Finally anybody who considers Kufuor and Rawlings as being worthy of any creditable, praiseworthy mention or even merit in the development process of this our much abused country by politicians of their ilk, should just simply have their minds checked.
All that the post-Nkrumah politicians - including those two, have done is to squirm their way into power, by lying through their teeth to the vulnerable electorate and then to fritter away at the huge socio-economic infrastructure that Nkrumah built to the exclusive benefit of themselves and their foreign and local cronies. If by conning Ghanaians and exploiting our country in much the same way that the colonialists did is an achievement, the I can understand where you are coming from.
My friend, how can you build a country or even any group or society or even a family, on the false standards and values of such mediocrity, mendicancy, triviality and corruption? How?

Prof Tutankhamun & Symbosis, what is wrong if the contribution of others are also recognized and celebrated? Why should the efforts of those who worked with Nkrumah, the Big Six, the vets & farmers whose resistance put pressure on the colonial masters to re-think their strategies be discounted? Why not a simple founders' day to tell our history as it is? You ignore the achievements of those who laid the foundation but want to give full credit to the one that finalized the deal?

My brother your point is well made and just a reminder to you.every great nation under the sun or an institution or even political party will always have a particular person depending on the extra miles that person has gone in persue of the aim of the objective of that institution eg George Washington was the only guy that fought for America independence we had 56people who put their lives on the line for the declaration of the greatest nation the world have ever see so far,Nelson Mandela was not the only guy for SA,ML King had mentors and big time helpers as you know people like Malcome plus many more what about Mahatma Ghadi anyway the list can continue forever bless each and every single souls that contributed to the light of enlightenment that this world have ever seen Buddha,Jesus,Moses,Mohammmed and all but it has always being that one name!! So Prof Akosa is one fine and great minds of our time that we all have to respect and adore due to his profound ways of seeing things Osajefo Kwame Nukrumah should by every reason be given that kind of status as far as leadership in Ghana is concern and let's not politicized it.He was not a man for just Ghana but a man of all black consciousness all over the world for his ideology was beyond just Ghana.Long live Ghana and all the statemen.God bless our homeland Ghana.Issah Musah Adams

Mr Adams, you have answered your own question by referencing America. The federal holidays in America include Presidents' Day which is celebrated to honor all presidents. It is celebrated on Washington's birthday. Martin Luther is recognized for his civil rights (theirs was a consensus, to note). In the case of Ghana, a group of people started the struggle and brought in Nkrumah who eventually leads us to independence. Why not recognize the struggle of all these people? Tell our history as it is.
