Biker Bob went to visit his buddy Biker Jim in Japan. They met each other at the airport and after a great meal, Biker Jim decided to treat his friend to a good time at the local whore house. He walked in and picked out a young lady for his friend Biker Bob. As soon as they reached the room, he started ripping her clothes off and going to town. Moaning and grunting, the girl was screaming in Japanese, "fuka ho-ru! fuka ho-ru!" He was sure that she was praising him for his good job, so he kept going faster and harder than ever.
The next day Biker Jim decided to treat his friend Biker Jim to a game of golf as a big thank you for the night before. When they were out on the 9th hole Biker Jim got a hole in one and Biker Bob decided to impress his old friend with his new knowledge of the local language so he raised his arms and shouted, "fuka ho-ru! fuka ho-ru!"
Biker Jim glanced over at his old friend, scratching his head and stared at him quizzically. He then looked at the flag, the green and the score card and said "Whatcha mean 'wrong hole'?"

Every day "One Step Forward-Two Steps Back". That is the dilemma in Ghana today. We have made so many strides to become relevant and civilized among the civilized and advanced nations of the world, but every instance, majority of our degenerates assume habits that only require brute force to stop.
Taxis and Tro-tros already are the cause of our dysfunctional society, especially the capital. It seems the harder some try to acquire wealth and lead decent life's, the lazy, ugly useless villagers decide that they will find ways to destroy or retard our progress. OKADA IS SICK - We have too many taxis already, Too many tro-tros coming from nowhere and going nowhere, with people who have no clue where they are going or why.

There is nothing wrong with okada. Our cry should be to the police to enforce the traffic law so that the okada operators do the right thing.
The fact is that okada is the solution to our traffic problem. If the operators could be made to obey raffia rules like in Togo and Benin, we would have found the perfect solution to our transportation woes. If it can be done in Togo, why can't we?
Pretending to ban okada is just denying the reality. Okada has come to stay and is contributing positively to solving a pressing nee: TRANSPORTATION.

Nii, I am befused by your submission. Have you considered the issues of translating one hundred people from Accra Central to Adenta by: 1. Okada, or, by 2. Bus ? Think just about the chaos, pollution, the consumption of fuel, etc, etc. please, do not let us find easy way but short term solutions only to e confronted with bigger ones later. The Kufuor Administration started the MMT. Massive road constructional works were on-going in our cities hence the deployment of scheduled bussing was constrained. Now, most of the constructional works have been completed. Why is the MMT not positioned to do this deployment of scheduled bussing? Foresight? That is the problem not giving in to the chaos inducing Okada business!!! Please, Nii, come again!

A crusty old Okada biker walks into a bar to have a ice cold beer after a hot, dusty ride. Down at the end of the bar, he spies a mighty fine looking chick in a sailor suit. She heads his way, smiles and asks if he's looking for a good time. Realizing she was a Prostitue and since it had been quite some time since his last romp in the hay, he started up negotiations.
After agreeing on a price, she escorts him to her bed room and they start going at it. After about 20 minutes of humpin & jumpin the ole biker looks her in the eyes and asks:
"So babe, how am I doing'?"
She replies: "You're doing' about 3 "knots".
"3 knots?.... What's that mean?" replies the Okada biker.
She said: "You're NOT hard, you're NOT in and you're NOT getting your money back!"

Nii Moi,

I never miss an opportunity to advocate the greater use of bicyles, triycles and rickshaws (paddled or motorised) in Ghana, esp. in the rural areas. It forms the cornerstone of my article, on opening the rural areas of Ghana. That's why when I read news about the difficulties being caused in Bawku due to the banning of use o motor bikes, for reasons not explained, I wrote against it and gave suggestions to rationalise whatever there is. Look, when even far developed Asian countries rely heavily on such means of transportation, we in Ghana CANNOT expect to do away with them.
Are you the same Nii Moi of the Nkrumahist tradition? Where is your pan-Africanism. I am totally opposed to that law restricting fellow Africans trading in Ghana, and hence your present suggestions targeting alleged foreigners involved in okada grit on my teeth.
If the okadas don't weave through the stationary traffic blocked vehicles (not moving ones, btw) and have to queue too, one major reason for their popularity would be gone. They MUST NOT cross red lights though. That must be severely punished.
You can't ban them from city centres, where the congestion is most and people need to move from one place to another to do things. That's why the bikes provided in the City by the Mayor of London have become very popular, becoming something like a luxury item for the elite who have been booking for them in advance! More are therefore needed.
Of course, they should be kept off the Motorway and its extension, George Bush Highway!

You don't throw the baby away with the bath water. Motorbikes are legitimate and very useful means of commuting in every civilised country, and major means in far advanced Asian countries. Why not in Ghana, a backward country, with loads of very poor people, waking long distances and carrying things on their heads?
