Ghanaians always play the ostrich and are hypocrites. The truth must be said about this Kofi Awonoor guy. Yes ,he was a brilliant scholar but he was unapologetically tribalistic which negated the respect some section of the society would have had for him . His " I am Ewe first before a Ghanaian " mantra ,whether taken out of context or not makes him unpatriotic as aGhanaian since he would rather be favorably disposed to an Ewe from Togo or Benin than a Ghanaian. Then his book " The Ghana Revolution " which he hastily pulled off the shelves under pressure showed his tribalistic nature. Hypocrites as we are, in death ,we want to sweep his faults under the carpet. What do we teach our children ?
