Nkrumah's relentless fight for the poor and tribal/racial equality made him a political saint. He was doing God's fight. One of the secrets why even in death Nkrumah's name and image can't be destroyed by his adversaries was because he was a soldier of God.
-He came from a poor family.
-When the UGCC called poor Ghanaian men and women "Veranda Boys", Nkrumah refused to accept that; mingled with them and led them to win elections.
-For the poor; Nkrumah built more schools and offered free education from elementary up to the University level for poor Ghanaians in North, South, East and West of the country.
-He built factories for poor Ghanaian workers.
-When poor Guineans were being starved by France for opting out of French colonial control, Nkrumah sent them aid.
In the end he built nothing for himself and died a poor man. He sacrificed his life for his country and continent.
In fact, "RELIGION WITHOUT SACRIFICE" is one of Gandhi's 7 virtues of humanity.

As the first leader of Ghana, he did pretty well but he lost site of what was ahead of him and embark on a fruitless journey to unite the continent of Africa at time which was impossible.
There is no way he could have unite Africa when the colonial powers were all around and what made his supporters think that he could have achieved such a fete with mere rhetoric?
Our current predicament was some of the shortfalls during Nkrumah rule. It is on record that he dole some of our monies to spur projects in far away nation like the Cape Verde, Mauritania etc and what benefit did these projects do for the ordinary Ghanaian? The money left for us was for our development but he chose to do otherwise and whoever gave him that advice is best known to him only.
Imagine him giving Ten million pounds to Guinea while that nation was under France rule. What benefit did that money brought to a Ghanaian living in far away Hiamatuo, a village in the Western region which has no road at that time? Nkrumah was very possessive and he thought that he was the only person who can rule Africa. His close association with some prominent names like Marcus Garvey and co, pushed him to act contrary to those at home and that brought hatred towards him.
Let me make myself clear that Nkrumah did well but we should also remember that the money left for him did not come from his pocket and as such, cannot use it as if... He should have built a nation that can stand the test of time by laying down solid foundation, rules and regulation. Instead of doling out monies as if Ghana was too rich, he should have constructed all the roads linking the regional capitals etc just to let commerce flow.
Who will give a one hundred dollar to a homeless person while his children school fees are not paid or while his children have had any food the whole day? Nkrumah made some of those mistakes by giving out our monies to support freedom fighters across the continent of Africa. Make sense? Hell no.
Before embarking to conquer Africa and rule, he should have made his own nation an envy to any EYE that may see it. As we speak, Ghana is like a village where nothing works and all is the fault of our first president and his failed policies. I careless what other will say. Do we have good sewage system and who should have started those projects? What about street names, addresses and so forth? He studied in the US and didn't he learnt anything good rather than that power hungry to capture Africa? Please.
As we speak, how united are we in Ghana presently let alone Africa? If he was a man of vision, his approach should have been gradual not that haste as if he was being chased.

Nkrumah never gave money to Mauritania and Mali. Nkrumah lent 10 million pounds to Guinea as the French took away everything - including light bulbs - when Sekou Toure defied the French and opted for independence.
This Mate Meho idiot by the name PERICLES has a lot to learn.Nkrumah's weakness was that he was too lenient with the terrorists - Busia,Danquah, Obetsebi-Lamptey,Mallam Tula and Baffour Osei Akoto - then the Asantehene's chief linguist.
Nkrumah's peers in Asia,Tunku Abdul Rahman(Malaysia)and Lee Kuan Yew(Singapore) were also branded as dictators - as they fought the terrorists(like the MATEMEHOFOUR)who tried to destroy their respective countries. In Malaysia alone over 30,000 people died as a result of fighting the terrorists.
Both Malaysia and Singapore passed PREVENTIVE DETENTION LAWS to deal with terrorism - as in Ghana. In fact, Malaysia still has those laws on the books.Today, both Lee Kuan Yew and Tunku Abdul Rahmam are hailed as visionaries and strong political leaders who made MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE what they are today.
Nkrumah laid the foundation before the primitive Neanderthals overthrew him.So what is this PERICLES talking about?

I am a terrorist as you say but that is fine with me but, think that before one becomes a terrorist, something will take place before one will resort to such reckless act. Also, anytime we comment, we should come out with fact not emotions. Dwelling on emotion and some untruth fact pushed on Ghanaians in the past, has no place today. DNA technology had cleared people who were jailed for no crimes committed. Ghanaians should think and accept the fact that our first leader committed some serious errors and that led to his ousted from power. Let me ask you one question. Who funded that Ghana-Guinea-Mali alliance and what benefit did that alliance give to the ordinary Ghanaian? Look, the money the British gave to us was for Ghana only and not for the entire African continent. Till we understand that anyone who criticize Nkrumah, will be seen as a terrorist as you are referring to me.
It is on record that the Akosombo Dam was constructed with a loan while Nkrumah was funding freedom fighters in other African nations with our money. Can you name any single nation on the African continent that gave us a cent when our leaders were pushing for our independent movement? There is no record anywhere so, why was Nkrumah using money meant for our development to support such nonsense?
We have been fed with lies and that has become part of our GNA make up. Critically analyzing some issue that took place at that time will see how the government at that time was feeding the public with lies just to make some people look bad.
As I said, our first president did pretty well but at some point, he veered off road and allow his parochial interest to cloud his sense of judgment.

Mother Ghana's love affair with Nkrumah could be likened to that of abused wife with her first love. I know many people like Kojo T and some of clueless people who parade here would not understand this. However, there are some people here who actually use their brain cells and could digest Mother Ghana's predicament. We celebrate our birthdays and achievements, but only idiots will keep on celebrate their failures.
Anyone who had dealt with an abused wife would realize how difficult it is for the abused wife to forgive her first love. Most married people will also tell you how they often hear their partners talking about their first loves. Sometimes, it gets irritating to a point where one wants to leave the marriage. And this has nothing to do with whether one partner is satisfying the other. Or, whether the other partner was abused by her first love or not. It is natural. So, what happens when a woman left the first love and enters into relationships where she is constantly abused by her partners. Answer - She would be forever be talking about her first love, in spite of all the abuse. That is the situation, people like this tribalist Kojo-T and the rest of Nkrumahists or whatever the call themselves find themselves in with their love for Nkrumah- our Mother's first love.
Nkrumah was Ghana's first love. And just like you said, he did very well with what he had. He tried to send his children to schools to be educated. He tried to protect and provide for Ghana. He tried to do everything for Ghana to make her happy. But a time came, where the husband became possessive and abusive. He would not let mother Ghana go anywhere. Not even to the movies without his permission. Not to talk to any man without his approval. And like how our Moslem brothers force their women to wear hijabs, Nkrumah forced mother Ghana to wear not the hijab, but the niqab to cover her entire face and be followed by her own sons to every place just to monitor her movements. (don't forget the young pioneers). Being controlled and having no rights in the marriage, mother Ghana revolted and left the marriage.
Unfortunately, the sons (soldiers -NLC) who came to the rescue of their mother gave her to another abusive husband (Busia). Another son (Kutu) who had become a pimp, took her mother from that abusive marriage and pimped her. Mother Ghana became a whore and his sons (Akufo and some soldiers) took turns to pimp and abuse her. The youngest son (Rawlings) even allowed her own siblings to be lashed in their vaginas and destroyed their businesses (Makola and central Markets). After some time, he tried to negotiate her mother for a marriage (democracy), but not until he himself had married the mother. See, a son forcing who came to liberate her mother forcing himself on her.
So after that marriage to that bastard (literally and figuratively) was over, Mother Ghana had become hopeless and unwanted. Mother Ghana married another tall gentle guy (JAK) who promised heaven on earth for her. Right after the honeymoon, this womanizer could not stay home; he never liked Mother Ghana but flying everywhere like bird and could care less about mother Ghana. She was left in the hands of arrogant and pompous sons and daughters who could care less about her. All that they cared for was, to abuse her and steal some of the money left in her bank accounts. The family (electorates0 came together to take Mother Ghana away from the uncaring husband and gave him to another Man (Mills). This man turned out to be the most useless man for our mother Ghana. And just like what Mahama (the next husband) said, God in his own wisdom took Mother Ghana from the useless man and gave her to him for marriage. So mother Ghana is now in the hands of a clueless man who does not even know, he is the husband of Mother Ghana. Do you get it now?
So it is obvious; when an abused wife, like Mother Ghana has gone through all these abuses and rapes, she still yearns for her first love- Nkrumah. And that is why these aged clueless people who were sent abroad by the first Love to study and return to help build the country but refused to do so keep on talking about that abusive first love.
Had Mother Ghana been fortunate to have a good husband after the first abusive love, her first marriage would not have been remembered. Should our job be praising and talking about the first abusive love or finding a right person for out mother? And shouldn't the clueless among us like this tribalist not be ashamed to compare our Mother Ghana's situation to that of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and even that on our own Continent, Botswana, where their first LOVES left them abundance to live on?
ME, I cry for Mother Ghana and her numerous USELESS SONS & DAUGHTERS who glorify in her abuse and rape.

You are marvelous, Nyansasem. Indeed you've earned your moniker. I think our subconscious mind as a nation is fed up with the mediocrity of our leaders so it's easy to treat Nkrumah as a saint. The sad aspect of this drama is that there is a concerted effort by some greedy bastards to force Nkrumah down our throat as a saint, but truth cannot be altered.
Like they tried to force Rawlings on us as the Messiah, they will fail. If they love Nkrumah and believe in his ideologies, as they are trying to portray, they should start by building the comatose CPP which he founded so we can see if he truly lives. Apart from their politicians, majority of the people who are deceived with this socialist, communism, Nkrumahism, and all that nonsense are the poorest in Ghana and the rest of the world whiles the sympathizers of the so-called capitalist, property owning democrats always relatively have better living standards.

These clueless want to change history to make it like it was Mate me ho that brought Nkrumah down and help destabilize his vision of uniting Africa. Read from Julius Nyerere, how other leaders resented Nkrumah for his vision of uniting Africa, at that time.
Attempts at unity
"Another five years later, in May 1963, 32 independent African states met in Addis Ababa, founded the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), and established the Liberation Committee of the new organisation, charging it with the duty of coordinating the liberation struggle in those parts of Africa still under colonial rule. The following year, 1964, the OAU met in Cairo [Egypt]. The Cairo Summit is remembered mainly for the declaration of the heads of state of independent Africa to respect the borders inherited from colonialism. The principle of non-interference in internal affairs of member states of the OAU had been enshrined in the Charter itself. Respect for the borders inherited from colonialism comes from the Cairo Declaration of 1964.
In 1965, the OAU met in Accra [Ghana]. That summit is not well remembered as the founding summit in 1963 or the Cairo Summit of 1964. The fact that Nkrumah did not last long as head of state of Ghana after that summit may have contributed to the comparative obscurity of that important summit. But I want to suggest that the reason why we do not talk much about [the 1965] summit is probably psychological: it was a failure. That failure still haunts us today. The founding fathers of the OAU had set themselves two major objectives: the total liberation of our continent from colonialism and settler minorities, and the unity of Africa. The first objective was expressed through immediate establishment of the Liberation Committee by the founding summit [of 1963]. The second objective was expressed in the name of the organisation – the Organisation of African Unity.
Critics could say that the [OAU] Charter itself, with its great emphasis on the sovereign independence of each member state, combined with the Cairo Declaration on the sanctity of the inherited borders, make it look like the “Organisation of African Disunity”. But that would be carrying criticism too far and ignoring the objective reasons which led to the principles of non-interference in the Cairo Declaration.
What the founding fathers – certainly a hardcore of them – had in mind was a genuine desire to move Africa towards greater unity. We loathed balkanisation of the continent into small unviable states, most of which had borders which did not make ethnic or geographical sense.
The Cairo Declaration was promoted by a profound realisation of the absurdity of those borders. It was quite clear that some adventurers would try to change those borders by force of arms. Indeed, it was already happening. Ethiopia and Somalia were at war over inherited borders.
Nkrumah was opposed to balkanisation as much as he was opposed to colonialism in Africa. To him and to a number of us, the two – balkanisation and colonialism – were twins. Genuine liberation of Africa had to attack both twins. A struggle against colonialism must go hand in hand with a struggle against the balkanisation of Africa.
Kwame Nkrumah was the great crusader of African unity. He wanted the Accra Summit of 1965 to establish a union government for the whole of independent Africa. But we failed. The one minor reason is that Kwame, like all great believers, underestimated the degree of suspicion and animosity which his crusading passion had created among a substantial number of his fellow heads of state. The major reason was linked to the first: already too many of us had a vested interest in keeping Africa divided.
Prior to the independence of Tanganyika, I had been advocating that East African countries should federate and then achieve independence as a single political unit. I had said publicly that I was willing to delay Tanganyika’s independence in order to enable all the three mainland countries to achieve their independence together as a single federated state. I made the suggestion because of my fear – proved correct by later events - that it would be very difficult to unite our countries if we let them achieve independence separately.
Once you multiply national anthems, national flags and national passports, seats of the United Nations, and individuals entitled to a 21-gun salute, not to speak of a host of ministers, prime ministers and envoys, you would have a whole army of powerful people with vested interests in keeping Africa balkanised. That was what Nkrumah encountered in 1965.
After the failure to establish the union government at the Accra Summit, I heard one head of state express with relief that he was happy to be returning home to his country still head of state. To this day, I cannot tell whether he was serious or joking. But he may well have been serious, because Kwame Nkrumah was very serious and the fear of a number of us to lose our precious status was quite palpable. But I never believed that the 1965 Accra Summit would have established a union government for Africa. When I say that we failed, that is not what I mean; for that clearly was an unrealistic objective for a single summit.
What I mean is that we did not even discuss a mechanism for pursuing the objective of a politically united Africa. We had a Liberation Committee already. We should have at least had a Unity Committee or undertaken to establish one. We did not. And after Kwame Nkrumah was removed from the African scene, nobody took up the challenge again."

KWAME NKRUMAH is perhaps the most overrated politician that ever lived. There is a TV programme on Joy News about Economic History of Ghana that showcase the flamboyance and celebrity lifestyle of this man and his veranda boys. Then as the Film goes on, you notice the reason for his downfall: the corruption, incompetence and dictatorship. The truth is laid bare how he and his greedy chums blew our fortune on utopian schemes, which were all sold by his own Nkrumaist PNDC in their thieving Divestiture programme, with over 8.1 Billion unaccounted for to date!
There is Brian Mitchell's Book called "International Historical Statistics" which publishes empirical data of Ghana's GDP and GNP as well as production figures of every item, and one weeps to uncover the paucity of economic activity under this bogus CPP Government and rest of the Nkrumaist governments that have plagued our beautiful country. In fact Nkrumah comes out so poorly it shocks.
Then a click on the Google of these words "GHANA'S GDP" will reveal all the facts about our Economic History from 1951 to 2005 detailing all the economic indicators that belie the loquacious tale of the loud mouthed talkative Nkrumaist ideologues who never allow us a sleep over their lies and lies of the bad government we had from 1951 to 1966.
I do not need to discuss the bull shit about the most corrupt Government of Africa. CPP and Nkrumah sought to liberate Africa from colonialism but then taught African governments CORRUPTION. Each of these thieving CPP Ministers built over 30 Mansions with the resources of Ghana. Their families including all these web writers continue to benefit from the sale of these properties to pocket untold wealth they use to display their buffoonery around and publish their tales.
Who cares what ignorant Nkrumaists say now: They have destroyed a fine country with their covetousness of political power for selfish economic gains. The Nkrumaists of Ghana have ruled us as CPP from 1951 to 1966 - 15 years
They have ruled us with Kutu Acheampong and Akuffo from 1972 to 1979
They have ruled us as PNP from 1979 to 1981
The same group of power hungry Nkrumaists ruled Ghana with JJ Rawlings from 1981 to 2000; and from 2008 to 2013
It's the same group of talkative thieving Nkrumaists who have taken turns to rule Ghana and exhausted all our God given resources.
Last but not the least, the independence of Ghana was not fought for by Dr Kwame Nkrumah alone. It began before Francis Ngolomma Kofi Nwiah was born to Aba Nyenba in Nzema. The struggle began with the resistance of local Gold Coasters: Ekem Gerguson, Kwamena Asameni, Kwami Karikari, Osei Kwame Bonsu, Kwegyir Aggrey, Thomas Barber, Kwaw Swanzy, Mensah Sarbah, and many others who fought by word and heart to persuade the Colonisers to go. The British would never have gone without the outbreak of the Nazi Second World War and the rise of Clement Attlee's Labour Party to government. Nkrumah was only an opportunist who jumped on the bandwagon to seek political power, and everything that was added to it as they sang
Ghanaians are the best Judges of this Nkrumah and this was clearly demonstrated when he was overthrown to a most popular acclaim...

A man goes to the famous Lucas Carton restaurant in Paris with his girlfriend and orders the 23 February 1966 Mouton. The waiter returns with a bottle full of wine, pours a small amount in the glass for tasting. The customer picks up the glass, smells the wine, and puts it down on the table with a thud.
"This is not the 23 February 1966 Mouton."
The waiter assures him it is, and soon there are another twenty people surrounding the table, including the chef and the manager trying to convince the man that the wine is the 23 February 1966 Mouton.
Finally someone asks him how he knows that it is not the 23 February 1966 Mouton.
"My name is Phillipe de Rothschild, and I make that precious wine."
Finally, the original waiter steps forward and admits that he poured the Clerc Milon 24 February 1966.
"I could not bear to part with our last bottle of 23 February 1966 Mouton. You know Clerc Milon, it is in the same village as Mouton, you pick the grapes at the same time, the same cepage, you crush in the same way, you put them into similar barrels. You bottle at the same time, you even use eggs from the same chickens to fine them. The wines are the same, except for a small matter of geographic location."
Rothschild beckons the waiter forward, and whispers to him, "When you return home tonight, ask your girlfriend to remove her underwear. Put one finger in one opening, another finger in the other, then smell both the fingers. You will understand what difference a small distance in geographic location makes."
KWAME NKRUMAH IS THE REAL 23 FEBRUARY 1966 THAT CANNOT BE DUPLICATED.THERE MAY BE OTHER WINE THAT MAY BE MADE ON THE SAME DAY HE WAS OVERTHROWN,BUT THERE IS NONE AS PRECIOUS AS THE LAST MOUTON HE DRANK.
KING DAVID SAID,THERE IS NONE LIKE THE SWORD OF GOLIATH,GIVE IT TO ME.

Kojo T and co speak as if Nkrumah was without blemish. Our first leader was the only one who inherited no debt but before he was overthrown, there was debt and it is on record that he borrowed money for the construction of the Akosombo Dam. Look, this was a leader who did not hesitate to give Tm million pounds to fund that senseless Ghana-Guinea-Mali alliance then go and borrow money again.
He built railway lines in Mauritania as well as the construction of low cost building in Cape Verde Islands and for what reason? His supporters do not say anything about those useless project in those part of Africa. The painful part of it all is, he used our monies to fund such stupid projects and does it make any sense? The man made some huge mistakes which should not be overlooked.

OSAGYEFO, all that you fought for, when the 'users' asked you to join them in Ghana, in the struggle for OUR independence.........have all gone to waste!
Our GOD-SENT FOUNDER of OUR NATION, who did not stand for mediocrity and did not take fools gladly.....I SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!
- They tried to use you for their own personal gains, by pussy-footing with the British.
- You the brave warrior did not stand for that and went ahead to gain OUR independence for us.
- They got so angry that, they decided to go back to ask the Queen not to give us independence because we were not ready?
- Why then did they ask you to come and help them gain OUR independence in the first place? Was their so-called struggle really meant for Ghana?
- They then decided to de-stabilize their own country because you showed them the way and HOW to gain independence not to pussy-foot around the struggle,
- They continued with their destabilization of their own country by throwing bombs (present day terrorism); and eventually connived with the very same people (and their partners) they got independence from, to topple your government. How sad!
- They then put in place stooges.....
who stemmed all the progress you made for OUR nation and the looting of OUR nation's assets and rich natural resources for themselves and also to appease their collaborators of the coup; up till this present day.
- That is where they have brought us now, Osagyefo! That is where the GREEDY, SELFISH, IGNORANT, SHAMELESS lot have brought us today............
You left us with 100% of all our rich natural resources and infrastructural monuments to lead us to a true economic and political independence.
But guess what?...............ALL, and I mean ALL our rich natural resources have and is still being sold to the same people (we gained independence from and their cronies/the coup-plotters) on the very cheap, for their own personal gains, as usual.
Other actors came on the seen to rectify things, but Kutu Acheampong could not do it alone, But I applaud him for his bravery and at least did a lot for OUR dear nation. Better than all the others after you and till this present day.
OSAGYEFO, all that you did for us have gone to waste! The greedy ones are still using the structures you put in place and are still using your policies as their party political 'mantra' in their campaigns till this very day......how sad! They lack ideas!
Oh! Osagyefo! Your dear nation is bleeding to death! Those in power now, (the wolves in sheep clothing) are also in bed with the children of the coup-plotters and running the nation dry.
Osagyefo, the Ghana you left behind is
still filled with CORRUPT, GREEDY, SELFISH and LIARS from all walks of the the political spectrum and most of the populace..............have lost the purpose of their own human existence and see nothing valuable about themselves and worship everything foreign. To the extent of importing toothpicks!!!!
Here we are 2013,.......our so-called leaders and politicians have divided the nation into followers of their two most USELESS parties our nation have ever known; preaching tribal gutter politics.....to the demise of our citizens.
Our citizens now idolize CORRUPT and INSENSITIVE so-called leaders and politicians who flash around in luxury.
Oh! Ghana! Monday, September 23, 2013, should be taken as a day of reflection (starting tomorrow in church), on where we could have been now......had we known!!!!!!! The missed opportunities if Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had been allowed to complete his VISION for Ghana and the entire Africa! NKRUMAH NEVER DIES!!!!!!!
GOD BLESS GHANA!

There was once a Kwame Nkrumah hat-seller who passed by a forest in Ashanti Region on his way back from the market. The weather was very hot and so he decided to take a nap under one of the trees bordering Ashanti Region and Eastern Region, so he left his whole basket of hats by the side.
A few hours later, he was woken up by some sounds. The next thing he realized was that all his Nkrumah hats were gone. He heard some monkeys on the tree and he looked up. To his surprise, the tree was full of monkeys and they had taken all his Nkrumah hats.
The hat-seller sat down and thought of how he could get the Nkrumah hats down. He thought and thought and started scratching his head. The next moment, he realized that the monkeys were doing the same action.
Next, he took down his own hat and saw the monkeys do exactly the same. An idea came to him, he took his Nkrumah hat and threw it on the floor and the monkeys did that too.
So he finally managed to get all his Nkrumah hats back. If you think you have read this before ..., read on!!!
Fifty six years later, his grandson, Kofi, also became a Nkrumah hat-seller and had heard this monkey story from his grandfather.
One day, just like his grandfather, he passed by the same forest, it was very hot, and he took a nap under the same tree and left the Nkrumah hats on the floor. He woke up and realized that all his hats were gone. He looked up and realized that the monkeys had taken all the hats.
He remembered his grandfather's words, started scratching his head and the monkeys followed.
He took down his Nkrumah hat and fanned himself and again the monkeys followed. Now, very convinced of his grandfather's idea, Kofi threw his hat on the floor but to his surprise, the monkeys still hold on to all the Nkrumah hats.
Then one monkey climbed down the tree, grabbed the Nkrumah hat on the floor, gave him a slap and said "You think only you have a grandfather ..."
