What must we do to improve the living standard

Politicians & the media: what must we do as a country to improve the living standard of our people?

Sometimes it saddens me as to how some things are given much attention in the country than positive productive ventures. For instance the so-called controversial comments of some leading personalities and the winner takes all politics which I would prefer to call “kill the nation softly gimmicks” where the opposition party could only see with their political lenses the negative side of the ruling party. And it saddens me more as some of the media houses apparently give those people the ample platform to champion those retrogressive crusades. Whilst to a great extent those retrogressive crusaders do not provide constructive alternative to what they criticize but try to wit us with the view that their alternatives policies may be stolen at the end of day which in fact may be untrue. But then I am totally not against criticism but when it is done fairly & constructively by acknowledging some developmental project of any party in power. It could earn you the opposition party some kind of credibility from the populace. Hence, the question arises that; do we talk too much or pay much attention to pettiness?, is Ghana for the ruling party or for all of us?, what must we do as a country but not only as a political party to improve the living standard of the people?, do we have the human resources as a nation but not as a political party? Have we leaders of any capacity failed our people? , is it too late as Ghanaians to think as a country but not so much as a political party? ,what are we doing urgently to end that culture of winner takes all politics because posterity will not forgive us if we failed in the sense that we have all it takes to transform Ghana with respect to human resources which is the most essential of all, natural resources and what have you as a country. Consciously and unconsciously, because we gives much room & attention to discussing the so-called controversial issues we gives much leisure time to the civil servants to operate by not given them breathing space. Then what do we expect the PURC and others to do? tariff increment! To me I don’t begrudge them a bit because that is the most essential way utility providers can use to restrain us from engaging ourselves in unproductive ventures to the developmental deficit of Ghana. For the fact that we under-engage these civil servants in our media houses to scrutinize and challenge their performances but what we find better discussing is controversial issues.
All hope is not yet lost, suffice, and worthy of commendation is the matured conducts & actions of the major players in the Supreme Court ruling. Consequently, this should serve as a turning point for us to put our shoulders to the wheel to transform mother Ghana positively. In that regards, this positive developments must open up a new chapter for us as Ghanaians to rally behind H.E John Dramani Mahama and his government to move Ghana forward in the right direction. Because any form of failure on the part of H.E the president and his government would definitely affects the entire citizens but not him alone as the President. Therefore, let’s wake up now as Ghanaians but not as a political party to transform Ghana. Forward Ever! Backward Never!!

LONG LIVE GHANA!
