Unfortunately the author seems to think living standards is an issue to do with politics alone.GoG will never teach you how to work hard,how to act civilised or be disciplined and responsible.These values too determine living standards more than any govt can do for its people.Living standards in Ghana ain't gonna improve shit bcoz we've got millions of our folks who still behave like uncivilised villagers.They shit by the rd side,trash our cities,build shacks anywhere and don't mind the killer stench coming off the garbage outside their door.Millions live in untidy homes and can't be bothered to clean and taking showers is not valued even when one knows very well they're sweaty and stinking.Improving living standards is less about money or govt and politics-its more about our attitudes,our values and changing our archaic mindsets.You can't give a fine cutlery,fine wines or take a villager to fine hotels & restaurants if all their lives they're schooled in the harsh slum life of Old Fadama and have no value for upper class etiquette.

To accumulate wealth demands low income taxes, low property taxes, the abolition of death taxes etc etc. It also requires doing away with the octopus that is the bureaacracy whose rules an regulations make it easy for public servants to extract bribes from us an make business more costly. This translates into higher prices and less money in my pocket
However this solution will be resisted by the very people it is designed to help because they have been brainwashed into believing that they cannot do anything without the government

Stop making babies. Look at all the Orphanages. What happens to these children when they grow up?
Families keep making babies who can't afford to feed them or put decent housing over their heads.
