Give the coach his peace of mind. Learn more about football, the history of the black stars and coaches then you will know Appiah is the right person. I am not sure you- Bekoe understands football hence that hasty conclusion.

i was one of the few people who kept propagating the call up of jerry akaminko into the blackstars.
the name was considerably a huge name on the local scene and at the youth level.
however, when the opportunity came and he was featured in a blackstars match in kumasi he was not convincing at all especially so when the lesotho opposition was not that strong. he himself admitted after the match that he did not perform up to a standard and that he will make amends in the next match. however against zambia vorsah returned so he did not play.
against DRC, prior to that infringement that resulted in the penalty akaminko was hardly convincing as a central defender. when the camera is focused on him you could glaringly see that the man was overstretched for the standard of football being played. the first time john boye was given an opportunity to play for the blackstars he asserted himself but akaminko could not. first we saw jonathan mensah play competitively for the blackstars was at the world cup and he marshalled the defence so well-that another unconvincing lee addy was covered.
akaminko could not be held solely responsible for the penalty because it was caused deeply from midfield but the manner in which he got off balanced when he was swerved give cause to worry. it created the impression he was not cut out for the standard of football being played. in my opinion, local players like nuhu sule and godfred rockson will do better job as central defenders than akaminko, rashid sumaila and awal mohammed.
