The writer of this article is a nincompoop. This is even an understatement. NPP should be quite and wait for the judgement to be passed, they can celebrate after that.

This peace offers the best kind of advise that push our dear Ghana to the threshold of a total economic independence/freedom. I bet Ghana will not remain the same if the soon to be government UNDER THE ABLE LEADERSHIP OF NANA ADDO DANQUAH AKUFO ADDO paid heed to the undeniable facts in this write up. Good job 'Kofi of Africa'.

Mr. Figure-Out,
For clear ideological reasons, I think it is high unlikely Nana Addo will be able to wrestle the NPP from the grip of western corporate globalism to implement the 10-15 year Development and Modernisation Programme (DMP), and manufacturing-based industrialisation I suggest here.
But I am willing to be disproved. It would be nice if a neocolonial NPP party, that has historically demonstrated its pro-IMF-SAP and corrupt credentials will reinvent itself into a patriotic development oriented one.

Mawriz,
I am advocating Ghana must: control its key economic sectors, to launch a 10-15 Development and Modernisation Programme (DMP), to exercise judicious economic management and professional competences in the public and private sectors, and to create massive science and technology-based, manufacturing, export based industrialisation.
In contrast, you are hoping, 'NPP should be quite and wait for the judgement to be passed, they can celebrate after that.'
Just think a little bit, which of us two is actually a 'nincompoop'?

Kakabo,
I have presented many coherent reasons why Ghana must nationalise its key economic sector. Very soon I will serialise clear pros-cons arguments for nationalisation.
I argue that since Dr. Nkrumah's ouster in 1966, Ghana has failed miserably to either launch a Development and Modernisation Programme (DMP), or source the billions of $s needed to implement it.
Therefore, the only sane option left to our sheepish, neo-liberal 'economists' is nationalisation - to gain the levels of finance to fund our industrialisation and modernisation.
If you have an intelligent argument against my proposal, please share it with us. But observers will agree with me there is not iota of sense in calling me 'irredeemable Ofoui.'
Public discourse is meant to share intelligent and innovational ideas - not to exchange insults. I have never know that by themselves insults can industrialise nations!
Regards.

Our aim should be industrialisation, industrialisation, industrialisation! Investment in Science and technology. Removal of discrimination in enrolement to read science. Exploration of our own bauxite, iron ore. We have to collapse the railway for carrying natural resources but invest more in transportation of pple. We have to process our own iron ore and bauxite to aluminium. Those out there should come down to buy the Aluminum from us here in ghana. We should ditate the price of our products.

If Mahama cannot fix our economy the manner I have argued because of his current appointees, which appointees do you have in mind?
Second, I will suggest the extremely intelligent leadership of the smaller political parties - CPP, PPP, PNC, etc - be incorporated in all national development schemes. I have in mind the excellent mind of Dr. Abu Sakara.
However, we must screen the others for patriotism. Some of them have nebulous patriotic allegiance to Ghana.

Something has to change to shake us up. The current political culture does not encourage bold thinking.
