I think Mr Kwasi Ahwoi the minister of interior is to be blamed for all these problems with the police. I believe he has to sit up and take control of all the agencies under him. The police may have good intentions but have no authority to ban demonstrations. The minister of interior can not do that without the authority of the president based on the advice of the national security. There is the need for the security agencies to be controlled in the interest of peace. The bottom line is that there is the need for our leaders to be educated or oriented on their duties when appointed. This will prevent a lot of embarrassment to the authorities and the state.
