Reading between the lines, Christopher is not helping and not focus. When we are getting closer to something good, someone like Christopher Opoku will come out with an already solved issue just to create division. We need to unite and focus and articles such as this have noway in helping us achieve that.
I may be wrong but didn't Kwasi Appiah mention all issues were solved? Why bring it out again, Chris the confusionist? When would he, Christopher Opoku, stop such behavior? When Christopher wants players to be excluded in an upcoming squad, this is the way he goes about it. Tricks like this is getting old, Chris, for it wouldn't get us anywhere.
As a journalist, it is good to find out the details before you write. Besides, the time and the direction of an article matters. For Chris to bring this matter again whilst it is old and gone, is uncalled for.
Come out with an article that can bring the nation together. That is what we need for the battle ahead may look easy but it is not.

The issue is not about Muntari or Andre Ayew per se, but with discipline. There are other players in the team such as Wakaso who may also decide to have their own way if wayward behaviour is tolerated.
For those of you clamouring for our good but indisciplined players to play whether they apologise or not, I hope you find yourselves in leadership positions one day (if you are not already in one).
The effect of indisciplined players on the other players is much worse that you think. They create disunity and confusion in camp.
I do NOT Care if we do not qualify for the World Cup by excluding key but indisciplined players. Can they behave like that towards their white coaches?
The fact that they earn more than our local coach does not give them the permission to be disrespectful. Is it so difficult to write an apology letter when the person concerned is much more older than you are, is your boss and has been wronged?
No player is bigger than the national team, if you cannot write a letter of apology or a letter rescinding a decision not to play for the Black stars, you are not worth the bench.

I think it is a question of the coach's knowhow and abilities. These foreign players work with top class coaches. So if there is any disrespect, they probably have to do with the knowledge that the local coaches standard is not up to par. That recognition of inadequacies in our local coaches could lead to disrespect, which in turn arouses the local coach’s ego, hence the loud demand for public apology. Otherwise this is an issue of human relations management which can easily be dealt with without involving the media. Just a thought.

Even in the past when the GFA and foptball as a whole was very disorganised in Ghana, how many times did you here Adolf Armah, Polo, Razak, Opoku Nti etc snob a coach? No one doubts Muntari or the Ayews commitment to the Ghana cause in fact its no different from Tony Yeboah and Adedis commitment to Ghana but team disunity ensured these great players won nothing in Afica apart from personal acco;ades and recognition. So for the sake of the blackstars lets support our coach but backing him to take these players to greater heights. If he is going to fail, let it be known that he failed in his ability not because he wasnt encouraged or supported by players or Ghanaians. I really pity Ghana! We have a cruicial worldcup qualifier round the courner and players are non-chalant! This is not what we need at all. I dont have to be NDC or an Asante to respect the authority of the asantehene or the president of Ghana. So when these men call and ask for an appeasement i will definitely give them that respect. This is what the Ayews havent done. They should at least have written to the GFA in line with the statutes of the association. In my view they niether respect the GFA or the representatives of highest institutions in Ghana, so why should they play for the country?

Nothing will make me blame the coach if we really mean business fellow Ghanaians. The player is wrong, let us rally behind the coach and have matters right. Sulley and Asamoah Gyan are my idol players in Ghana, but I will not condone anything of this sort from either of them. We need total togetherness to achieve our goals, so Sulley, just say, even, in hausa "nayi laifi mallam" meaning "I am wrong coach", then we move on. Other than that, I see no reason why we (myself included) should pressure the Ayews to write to be re-instated, and then you being a senior player will refuse to render an apology for a wrong doing which you know you did.

I do not see the reason why arrogance such as Muntari's should be entertained in a country which is blessed with so much talent in soccer. How can anyone honestly apologize to another aggrieved person when the aggrieved person has publicly demonstrated a lack of respect for the offender. I am referring to a statement Kwasi Appiah about Muntari after the said incident to the effect that Sulley should give way to a better player. If I were Muntari it would be difficult for me to apologize to the coach after such public statements even if I realize after the fact that I was wrong. I strongly believe and suspect that something is fundamentally wrong with KA's leadership which keeps bringing such behavior from such respected and experienced players. To the extent that such unavoidable friction between a manager and its followers could not be amicably be resolved in the back room except in public tells me there are bigger issues lurking in the background. It is only a matter of time. For now we need a some real seniors and gray hairs in the black stars helm of affairs.

Your duty on the field is to play and the Coach's duty is to coach the team. You don't fight a Referee for bad officiating, you walk out and have another player substitute your wing. He does not react angrily when substituted at AC Milan and he should not have reacted angrily against Coach Appiah even though he was justified in being upset at being subbed after only 60 minutes of play. The Coach was disrespectful of his Star player but the Coach is boss and Muntari as a professional must humble himself and apologize or weigh his future with the National team with Coach Appiah as the head Coach.
The bible says "parents provoke not your children". Coach Appiah is in position of authority and considering he never played at the level of some of his Super Stars he must be careful how he handles them so there is no cause for disrespect.
Muntari has done a lot to help maintain team cohesion, stability and consistency under Coach Appiah and the two need each other.
