Going to help Owusu Afriyie one bit!
In the beginning, I was of the view that he(Sir John, what a nickname to adopt)was a mere 'court jester'who was prediposed to make people laugh when he had that brouhaha with Kobby Acheampong, and then Aseidu Nketia. I also noted with utter dismay the scandalous terms in which he has described the current President, John Mahama.
But my view of him changed when he turned his guns on fellow NPPians like Fmr. President Kuffour, Kwame Pianim,Tarzan,Nyaho Tamakloe,Nana Akomea and a host of others. Save may be Akomea,Owusu Afriyie cannot,by any measure, be said be the equal of any of the afore-metioned NPP members, who help to build their party! I know for certain that it was J.A Kuffour who brought him back to this country from the 'ghettoes' of London, where he had sought refuge. The plum position he was given at the GNPC, as the Head of Corporate Legal Affairs, perhaps went too much into his head until he was shown the exit by his benefactor,Kuffour, for misconducting himself at that place.
Thus, from where I sit,I see this small 'country' lawyer from Wonoo, first as an ingrate; a political amateur, filled with "with unrestrained pertulence" tht has brought him to where he now finds himself! And as is often the case with many Ghanaians, he and his misguided supporters are counting on the good graces of the Man upstairs to get him off from the clutches of the law. I earnestly hope he learns some useful from this experience, and appreciate the virtue of humility in ones life, regardless of where we find ourself!

Immunity from civil or criminal prosecutions. But this is not to yield to the fallacious contention of NPP fanatics like you that what the President is alleged to have said amounts to contempt of court! Look, this idea of seeking solace in 'equalization' is not going to help you folks one bit. I mean how to tell the SC to focus on the "substantive case" in one breath, and then turn around and want it do deal with other 'perceived culprits'?
A desperate and very confused bunch I would say!

If he is spared that will mean there is no God who defends the poor but rather the affluent in society.
It will be a disgrace and mockery of the law in Ghana.

Whether Dr.Bokor is being mischievous or not, he has made a good point.Society will be safe if we all learn to live by the rules.I have voted for the NPP all along though I am not from their family.I vote the NPP becasue I consider myself as Ghanaians first and foremost. But recent events from some of the party hierarchy leaves much to desire. It is just disturbing and unbecoming of them.It is as though Ghana has no laws.In fact what has motivated most of us to follow the NPP all this whiles have completely vanished from the party. We can not live in society like this. The law must take its course.Nobody is bigger or above the law.If Kuranchi and Atubiga could be punished for this, why not Owusu Afriyie? Is he a better human being than the two? We live to see the outcome.Ghana needs peace and nobody should be allowed to take us for granted for his seelfihs interest.

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie alias, Sir John in my opinion is the true reflection of his parents upbringing which is sadly typical of the environment he came from. This old and tired mentally has also been adopted by their political party, NPP which unfortunately influences their decisions and actions which we are witnessing before our very own eyes today. As we rejoice at the summonsing of Sir John before our very Supreme Court Justices, my hope and prayer is they should have the COURAGE and send him down if found to be comtempteous of the very same court he run to seek relief from his party,s petition. Fortunately, majority of Ghanaians are decent and will not allow the peaceful and good image cultivated among the international community over the years be destroyed by few and deviant individuals. This is what President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has to his opponents, “Let The Enemies Go Hung“!
