If I had my way, new presidential elections will be held in which both Mahama and Akufo-Addo are barred from taking part. The country needs some fresh new faces and if we can do without these two tired and spent up forces, there can surely be a new beginning for Ghana, not for certain individuals.

When Afari Djan referred to fax copy with signature he was not referring to "pink sheets" but the collation form from the EC regional or district office. NPP representatives in the strong room were given copies of this collation forms. There is no point in their pleadings and affidavit or during the proceedings we found or heard Gabby (who was in the strong room) and his NPP representatives in the strong room challenging final collated results. So Gabby should stop this stupid propaganda, it will not work.
All NPP at this point is doing is to create in the minds of their gullible followers that if they lose the court case, they have been denied justice and there should be no peace. This has been their position. I heard Frances Essiam on Saturday August 9, 2013 said "there will be no peace without justice" which I think is insighting people.

According him this was based on a statement by Afari Gjan that not signing the pink sheet will not invalidate the declaration at the poling station.Surprisingly and without any iota of deductive reasoning this dishonest man jumps to the conclusion that it was a policy decision of the EC.
I have always thought of Otchere Darku as a man without logical reasoning but some of his conclusions of late borders on lunacy.News file is being used for his propaganda agenda for the npp and the host just sit and watch him play blatant politics with the program.
The earlier that platform is sanitized against this lot the better it will be for the image of the program.

Most Ghaanaians know the outcome of the petition is on the face of the evidence put before the court. Except the likes of Gabby, and kweku Baako. All what Gabby can do is to spare of this ranting of his. This his public stunt put out in the write up should have been offered to Addision for his address.
If this latest attempt by Gabby is to caught public opinion at the last stage of the petition hearing, when majority of Ghanaians including supporters of the NPP know that this case was a waste of time and resources of the nation, I am sorry this gimmick of Gabby will not wash. The game is truly over.

The designation or status of polling agents whether as electoral officers entitled to be registered as special voters or as agents affected all the parties. The Constitutional Instrument was not foisted on the country by the Electoral Commission. It went before Parliament and was debated before it became law. It is hypocritical and absurd to suggest that the primary purpose of CI 75 was to frustrate the NPP. The NDC would have had the same problem sending its TESCON volunteers to Ashanti and Eastern Region.
The role of the polling Agents is specifically spelt out in legislation and nowhere are their functions reduced to observer status. The essence is not in the tile or designation but in the functions that have been spelt out in the Constitutional Instrument.
Polling Agents were not prevented from refusing to sign the pink sheets. Some indeed refused to do so. Furthermore there is a form to be completed to register any misgivings and in the cases where the Polling agents refused to sign the pink sheets, they gave their reasons. Whether as observer, electoral officer or polling agent, there are some violations that would have being instantly noticed and reported. Not by one NPP Polling Agent but several other polling agents.
Incidents where ballot boxes are filled with alien material; people voting more than once; people not verified by any certainty being allowed to vote and candidates been awarded votes inconsistent with the figures publicly announced. These matters can be correctly referred to as "illegality".
The matters alleged in the petition refer to violations and irregularities and not illegality.
It is preposterous to suggest that NPP Polling Agents witnessed illegality but signed the pink sheets nonetheless because the Electoral Commissioner in several speeches which can be linked together compelled them to do so. How were they to know for example, that the pink sheet they signed bore the same serial number as another from a different polling station? And were they condoning in perpetrating an illegal act? How were they to know that after attesting to the counting and announcement of the votes, the Presiding Officer would fail to append his signature? We they condoning in illegality? The petitioners, their counsel and legal supporters have being sauntering freely between "illegality" and "irregularity" and want us to be believe that they mean the same thing.
In all of 8 months, the petitioner has not been consistent. They first alleged fraud, criminality and the connivance of the first respondent. They alleged the electronic manipulation of transmitted results and the padding of Mahama's votes with those raided from Akuffo Addo.
Then they found irregularities with 4,000, 11,000 and then 10,000 plus pink sheets. Then they wanted 4 million in evidence and 3 million in submission, votes to be annulled.
For 8 months they have been all at sea with their arithmetic but then expect a national exercise which took place over 2 days to be perfectly recorded on pink sheets such that blanks are read as blanks and not zero.
Now Afari Gyan advised NPP Polling Agents to sign pink sheets regardless. Knowing the NPP, they sent out their agents to be eagle eyed.

Has he studied the pink sheet to see if there is a portion for indicating if there has been any incident reported at the polling station?
You cannot simply take a transcript from public radio broadcast, ignore certain aspects and present those that you think will favour your arguments. That said, Dr Afari Gyan in that transcript made it clear about how different categories of voter would be captured by the verification machines and process (NVNV) and I cannot see any contradiction with his testimony in court.
So what is Otchere-Darko trying to achieve at this late hour, 5 minutes to midnight except to rally his supporters in case the ruling does not go in their favour. This is a veiled and dangerous opinion piece and Ghanaians should note it for what it is - propaganda!

As far as we all know, the Law is proposed by somebodyelse but must be passed or validated at Parliarment and must receive presidential accent.
The Law is not in the Bossom of Afari Djan.
Afari Djan can be dragged to court if he says or behaves contrary to Law. He is human and subject to errors
