Read the following so that you may wisely advise others. Somewhere in the pleads, the Petitioners are also seeking to annul some votes that illegally went to Akufo Addo. Don't be a smart ass.
Read on:
"The petitioners in the case before the Supreme Court challenging the declared outcome of the December 2012 Presidential election, are asking the Court to annul election results from a total of 10,119 polling stations affected by various constitutional and statutory violations, malpractices and irregularities which have rendered the votes from such polling stations invalid.
The petition is seeking the court to annul the polling stations due to four main irregularities identified on the face of the primary records on the conduct and outcome of the election in those polling stations. These irregularities which have tainted these results are over voting, voting without biometric verification, the absence of presiding officer’s signature and same serial numbers on different polling station pink sheets. The petitioners are also seeking the court to annul polling stations in two other statistically minor categories, that is, different results for the same polling stations and locations not included in the official list of polling stations where elections were held.
The total number of votes from the 10,119 polling stations, the petitioners have restricted themselves to, is 3,931,339. Should the Court uphold the arguments of the petitioners and annul these votes tainted by invalidity, 2,622,551 votes will have to be deducted from the votes declared for John Mahama. These annulments and deductions of the invalid votes will mean that John Mahama will have 41.79% of the valid votes cast in the December Elections. Nana Akufo-Addo’s vote total will come down by 1,233,186 votes as a result of these infractions and as a result will have 56.85% of the valid votes cast in December.
Indeed from the case presented by the petitioners, any of the four main irregularities, if sustained by the Court and the polling stations annulled, will be enough to bring John Mahama down as it will mean he did not achieve the mandatory 50% + 1 of valid votes to be declared winner of the election.
For example, should the court annul votes from the 4,487 polling stations affected by over voting, voting without biometric verification and the constitutional violation of the absence of presiding officer’s signature, 1,802,221 votes will be affected in total. Out of these, 1,229,966 votes will be deducted from the total votes declared for John Mahama as they have been tainted by the various irregularities while 534,999 will be deducted from the votes of Nana Akufo-Addo. With these annulments and deductions, John Mahama will have 47.26% of the valid votes cast while Nana Akufo-Addo will have 51.28% of the valid votes cast.
Should the court also sustain the petitioners’ arguments on only the twin categories of over voting and voting without biometric verification, 1,365,723 votes will have to be annulled from the 3,371 polling stations whose results have been tainted and rendered invalid by one of the two irregularities or both. When annulled, John Mahama’s votes will be reduced by 932,501 which will result in him having 48.21% of the valid votes while Nana Akufo – Addo’s votes will be reduced by 404,531 and will see him having 50.31% of the valid votes.
Again, should the court annul the 3,069 polling stations affected by over voting and the absence of presiding officer’s signature, a total of 1,270,682 votes will be affected. Out of these, John Mahama will see a reduction in his votes of 861,775 while Nana Akufo-Addo’s votes will similarly be reduced by 382,472. These annulments and deductions of the votes rendered invalid by the irregularities of over voting and the absence of presiding officer’s signature will see John Mahama having 48.46% of the valid votes while Nana Akufo-Addo will have 50.04%, more than the required 50% + 1 of valid votes needed to be declared as the winner of the election.
Also, if the Court decides to annul the votes from the 8,987 polling stations affected by the phenomenon of same serial numbers for different polling station pink sheets, a total of 3,508,491 votes will be annulled. John Mahama will see a reduction in his votes of 2,344,540 which will reduce his share of the valid votes cast therefore to 43.15% while Nana Akufo – Addo’s votes will also be reduced by 1,097,169 giving him 55.45% of the valid votes."

The Petitioner asked for a delay in the declaration of the results for electoral fraud and criminality to be investigated. This fraud involved padding of votes and the electronic manipulation of results transmitted to the EC Strong Room. In their correspondence, they even went as far as stating the 'connivance of President Mahama" in this scheme.
Is anyone suggesting that had the Electoral Commissioner delayed the declaration, the NPP wound have provided the evidence to support electoral fraud, criminality and connivance of President Mahama? These are allegations that they have shamefully retracted even though from time to time they still mention them but fail to substantiate it.
Is anyone also suggesting that had the declaration been delayed for a week or more that the NPP would have amassed the irregularities they claim to have amassed in 8 months? The polling stations have gone from 4,000 plus to 11,000 plus to 10,000 plus during the course of the actual hearing. The votes to be annulled have gone from 1 million plus to 4 million plus in evidence to 3 million plus in submission. They are never consistent or undeviating.
The NPP case is not that they won the election outright but they would have won IF on the day of the declaration, the Electoral Commissioner had rejected the results of 11,000 polling stations and annulled 4 million votes. A proposition that they would not have been able to substantiate on 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th of December 2012.
There is no law in the country which says that votes cast become invalid and have to be annulled should a Presiding Officer fail to sign a pink sheet. The reason they are not asking for a rerun of the elections in those polling stations is that the results would not change in their favour. If anything at all, those who voted for other candidates may well now vote for Mahama. So the only way through the back door is to have all the votes annulled by asking the Supreme Court to retroactively "legislate" that absent signatures invalidate all votes cast at a polling station.
Even more bizarre, is their claim that "they did not have access to 2,002 pink sheets". Such a white lie which can only come from a disingenuous party. Dare I say the sensible people in the NPP can't wait for Akuffo Addo and his lot to clear off from the scene. They are such a blot on the political landscape.

Why did the EC provide the 2002 pink sheets to the petitioners and the court? Do you think it was a legal maneuver by the petitioners to claim they do not have access just as Tsikata and Liter did with KPMG? An why did the EC openly coordinated its case with the president and NDC lawyers? Wasn't the EC supposed to be independent. People are asking. What do you say?
Bad faith, limitation of pink sheets, filing address late, etc all are legal maneuvers employed by lawyers to win their case.
Finally do not kid your self that if Akuffo Addo disappears NPP will change its modus operandi. NPP is the UP ( NLM+DOMBO+UGCC). There used to be a faction from the Volta R. Peel deeper to understand its make up. It will take years for them to change. And with the current polarization of our political engagement on tribal lines and winner take all governance I can assure you the "beautiful ones are not yet born". If the bank says you must put your signature known to the bank on the cheque and at a particular place and put a date at a particular place, you cannot do otherwise if you want to access your money. It is also true that even if the money belongs to the whole community and the appointed person from the community refuses to respect the regulations by the bank the bank can refuse the community from accessing the money though the money does not belong to the appointed person but the entire community. There is no right that is absolute. Every right comes with responsibility. When you go to a hospital you are asked to join a cue and give your details before you can see the doctor. Despite the fact that you have the right to seek medical treatment, if you do not follow the lay down regulation you could be denied the right to medical help. Grow up and think like adults. This is known to all voters and indeed, where ballots are improperly filled out, and / or cannot be read by a machine e.g. in the case of Gore v. Bush in the Florida elections of 2000, the so-called "impregnated or spoilt ballots" were discarded and that cost Gore the election.
Here we are talking about election officers making mistakes in completing recording sheets, errors which are easily detected during compilation of the results and quickly corrected (which is what in fact did happen in the last elections).
It is very worrying that the petitioners have chosen to make such a meal of this situation and are insisting that millions of innocent voters should have their votes annulled because of errors made by others through no fault of they the voters. Unbelievable justice and a complete re-definition of democracy!

Had Afari Djan desisted with his infamous rhetoric "Go to court" and taking at least 30 or 45 days to sort things out before announcing the winner, this court petition would not have happened.
I think this petition will serve as a warning to the future Electoral Commissioner not to be so obssessed with power given to him and do what may throw the country into chaos. With Afari Djan's explanation that his Presiding Officers and some casual workers hired not properly trained whilst funds were allocated for that purpose, tells a lot about Afari Djan. His name will go into our electoral history of having plunged the country into this shameful state. If this had been his practices in previous elections, then his intergrity is questionable. E&OE.
