WE, BLACKS CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR USELESS PEOPLE WITH QUESTIONABLE MORALS AND QUESTIONABLE TRACK RECORD OF PRAGMATIC ACHIEVEMENTS IN PUBLIC SERVICE.
JUST CONSIDER RAWLINGS, J A KUFUOR, MILLS AND JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA FOR INSTANCE.
WHILE KUFUOR'S TERMS IN OFFICE WERE MAINLY DEVOTED TO CRAFTING WAYS OF PILLAGING GHANA'S ECONOMY AND INCREASING TAXES AND TARIFFS ON EVERY CONCEIVABLE GOODS AND SERVICES ON POOR ORDINARY GHANAIAN VOTERS, MAHAMA IS ALSO FOLLOWING SUIT, AND SO DID GHANA'S DUMB "PROFESSOR" ATTA-MILLS.
GHANA HAS BEEN BLESSED WITH COUNTLESS NATURAL RESOURSES OVER THE YEARS, THE LATEST ONE - CRUDE OIL.
WHY ARE GHANA'S LEADERS NOT FINDING WAYS OF CREATING EMPLOYMENT AND GENERATING NATIONAL INCOME AND TAX REVENUE FROM ALL THOSE GOD-GIVEN NATURAL RESOURCES ALL THESE YEARS?
WHY ARE GHANA'S LEADERS OBSESSED WITH IMPOSING KILLER TAXES AND TARIFFS ON POOR GHANAIANS INSTEAD OF EXPLOITING OUR COUNTLESS NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE GOOD OF ALL?
WHY ARE THEY NOT BUILDING ON ALL THE GOOD ECONOMIC FOUNDATIONS LAID BY DR. NKRUMAH OF BLESSED MEMORY?
THE ANSWER TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS IS SIMPLE.
GHANA'S LEADERS ARE USELESS, LAZY, VISIONLESS, CHEAP, CORRUPT AND HEARTLESS. SIMPLE.
GHANA'S LEADERS DO NOT HAVE THE BRAIN CAPACITY TO BE PRAGMATIC. THEY LIKE EASY SHORT-CUT ROUTES TO OVERNIGHT RICHES.
THE EVIDENCE IS THERE FOR ALL TO SEE ABOUT GHANA'S SUCCESSIVE LEADERSHIP.
COMPARE MOHAMMED BARADEI OF EGYPT TO KOFI ANNAN OF GHANA, AND YOU'LL GET MY DRIFT.
WHILE THE ARAB BARADEI IS FIGHTING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND STABILITY IN HIS COUNTRY, KOFI ANNAN IS GOING AROUND COLLECTING ACCOLADES IN THE MIDST OF NAKED CORRUPTION IN HIS NATIVE GHANA.
THAT'S THE GULF BETWEEN THE BLACK AND NON-BLACK MAN.
WE SHALL ALL SWIM IN THE SHIT LEFT OVER BY BAD, CORRUPT, VISIONLESS AND LAZY LEADERSHIP.

The african mind and culture doesn't like things where you have to strain too much mentally ,be disciplined too much or be too diligent to attain.Thats why we've stuck with the simplicity of garbage in our streets, human feces on our paths, poorly constructed trading kiosks and exporting raw products -simple stuff comfortable for the indisciplined african.

Well spoken. Ghana is said to have 63 private Universities and the five public universities yet no one have created anything we can brag about as Ghanaians. The only remarkable achievement in Ghana, to my knowledge, is that of the preacher in Ghana who built his own car in kumasi since the eighties. Why is the government not giving this man about $50 million to mass produce these cars and sell them affordably to Ghanaians? If this was put in place in Ghana in the 90s, it will have created a huge automotive industry in the country by now. Where there was FORD, a GM Chevy and Chrysler showed up and same would have happened to Ghana. I say it everyday, if I can afford to give the pastor $20 million, I'll do that for the unselfish reasons of creating jobs and cars in the country. Twenty years ago in America no one wanted a Kia or Hyundai car or truck, now these Korean companies are building $80,000 cars in the Equous and Genesis. People we need to start somewhere! The US bailed General Motors and Daimler-Chrysler, why can the Ghana govt help build Osofo cars?

Today, it's Africans who are re enforcing their own hopelessness. There're information and insight in form of books and documentaries by both blacks and whites, of which whites are making it plain that everything negative they said about us is false. That they falsely created white supremacy to support their subjugation of our lands and resources. (We did not stand on ourselves and proclaimed that we're spiritually and intellectually inferior to other races, but rather whites who claimed that due to their own twisted minds) That the spirituality that they gave us was in fact stolen from us and then whitewashed to reflect them as god's chosen people. That it's time to readjust our minds around a new paradigm, but we still not buying any of it. In fact we view those truth sayers as crazies who don't know what they're saying, because in our minds, our salvation lies with white people. We and our politicians believed if we have to develop, then white people have to be part of it for us to make it big. What a mirage that is.
Our forefathers had no limitation of navigating the earth, but when the Europeans came and told us the earth was flat, we believed it, now that some of them and other blacks are telling us no, the earth is in fact round, we're fighting that new finding simply because the flat earth notion is making some of us so rich beyond our belief. That's my analogy of our predicament.
We just refusing to re learn period.

Racism in America has been there as long as the USA .There was genocide continued racism against the 1st nations of the Americas. What we cant afford though,is to rely self-pity as a way of gaining respect. The battered Jews from war torn Europe and Asia have proved beyond doubt that you rise above adversity through hard work and common discipline. The disrecpect that we get from other major racial groups is self inflicted through the breakdown of our traditional family values, failure to observe and adaptation. As a 27 years old,I am amazed at the hardwork and discipline employed by my Asian comrades both at home, work and in the classrooms.Enough blood and tears had been shed by we Africans,it is time now for the self evaluation that Mr Obama,Mr D Tutu and others talks about. We will continue to be marginalized until we realize that respect is earned not bestowed based on race, color or size.I know Mr Kwaku Danso personally,I live in his adopted city in the USA.

Reading this short article, I think an important note to make is..history has shown nations becoming big and falling again.
However, nations fall due to something major which often happens (that makes thins turn around). The question is thus, what should and must happen to turn the clock around for Africans to rule again as they use to.
Perhaps, looking at recent happenings in the world and based on biblical scriptures, the next big thing should be sought in "Jerusalem"?
I believe that as a black man or black person, people (in the current conditions) will always feel scared of us, and we are been carefully watch because they know what the black man is capable off. Remember, we gained freedom not because we had the most guns or the best technological weapons.
No! We Gained Freedom Because God said it is now Enough! And He elected some leaders to fulfill his tasks...the big question is...along the way...what happened that cause God to perhaps say..well they are still stubborn...or is it that we are not satisfied with "freedom"?

The rich and powerful as well as politicians have always used divisions to rule societies and countries. As long as majority of the society are expending their energies on matters that will not help improve the quality of their lives or bring more money to their pockets by craving for equality among all, the ruling class stays happy and continue plundering the country or society.
In Ghana, the politicians and rich people maintain tribalism throughout the country in order to hold onto power whilst hiding the real power of the voting masses from them. If the voting masses were ever to come together to demand equal treatment and accountability from the ruling class, the ruling class will be exposed and the tides will turn. For this reason, these people employ tribalism, sectorianism and regionalism to perpetually confuse the electorates.
In the USA, while the rich plunder the system by paying 'peanuts' to the working masses, they have helped to create racism as a solution to almost every problem. Rural white Americans think blacks are out to kill them and the media, owned by the rich guys, keeps perpetuating that lie. There are crimes committed by both whites and blacks but it is the crimes of the blacks that get constant media coverage thereby painting black people as bad people or criminals. When a white guy/gal commits a crime, the media acts mostly like they can't find the picture or the video for the criminal but never fails to find a picture for almost every black criminal, no matter how small the crime may be.
Both white and black teens do drugs such marijuana at similar percentages but it is only the blacks that are disproportionately incarcerated for the crime. Marijuana that do not make users violent has sent many black men to jail than Cocaine, meth and Heroine which are predominately used by white men who never see a day in jail though the aforementioned drugs are more dangerous than marijuana/weed.
There is so much racism in European football but the authorities are doing absolutely nothing to stem it out. How do you fine a club $54,000 for racial disturbances during a game when the club took in more than $200,000 in gate and other proceeds that week? There are cameras that can identify the section of the crowd that were making racial slur towards players, even to the seating position, however these cameras are never used as evidence to hand out years of bans to perpetrators for such disgraceful acts. This tells you how much the authorities are willing to fight such issues
It does not help that our politicians and powerful people in Africa contribute to cheapening the "black value" by selling our souls to the Europeans that comes to them with tens of thousand of dollars and needing help to conduct an almost illegal business manuever. The bad part of this is the fact that almost 80% of our politicians and rich people were educated abroad and at one point or another were discriminated against yet they are more than happy to sell the souls of their brothers and sister to the man that discriminated against them, God help us!

I come from the northern part of Ghana but my countryman from Ashanti pejoratively calls me "tani" or 'pepeni' as he pleases and indeed insists that he is a superior being to me. We both sojourn to the whiteman's land and there i learn to my amazement that my supposed master and i are considered orangutans with an IQ a little higher than some animals by our new hosts, the whiteman. As we both endure the incessant opprobrium and insults of these people only because we're blacks which by the way is not through our making, i venture a question to my previously superior being' the Ashanti man: "Do you feel hurt"? "More than hurt", he retorts sharply. I remind him that that had been my lot from Ghana when he and others like him had always taken me for sub-human even though we were all black only because i came from a different part of Ghana. At least, the whiteman's ignorance could be excused but not his. Many minorities endure in their own countries worst forms of discrimination than blacks do in Europe and US. The religious injunction "don't do to another what you don't want done to you" should be taken seriously by all.

What happened between Trayvon Martins and George Zimmerman that night may never be known because no one was there to give the exact accounts of their encounter. Now, the jury have spoken so we should leave it. Now my question is, how many black people were killed that day in the US by their own black people and why no protest but Trayvon Martin?
When Rosa Parks was mugged by a black man, black leaders in the US did not even condemn such mugging knowing too well how important that woman was. Imagine Rosa Parks was mugged by a white man or boy, what exactly will be the reactions of black American leaders like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Cornel West and co? The message is that if a black man kills a black man in the US, it is okay but that cannot be done by a white man no matter the circumstances.
Africans are the most stupid and irresponsible humans on this planet. We live in the middle of a river but feeling thirsty and the reason?
When we achieved independent, the statement Nkrumah made was good but we failed to keep that in mind. We allowed the White man to come and tell us what we should do.
Now, how do people who hate everything about them realize how good they are? Our food stinks. Our names are not good and we love having White names. Why? Our language is being lost because we hate to speak it, Why?
Till we realized that we are unique on this planet, we will continue to blame all than ourselves. Let's go back for it. Sankofa.

I don't see any storefronts opening up in the black community here in the 3rd largest city in the US that push African Culture, African family and extended family principles...none. I haven't walked pass any such storefronts stating 'we teach Twi here or Yoruba, Kiswahili, Ibo or Hausa’. I haven’t seen any storefronts run by Africa-born, now living in the US, that push a reconnect to Africa agenda my brother and sister towards 'African Americans'...none. Such agendas are what help reduce greatly the crime within the black communities of the US. Africa-born whom at in the US are too busy chasing white Jesus to allow for such time. Only thing I hear of is Africa-born trying to find black Americans whom will accept monies to marry them so they can legally stay within the US without immigration problems. So Africa-born, now living in the US, be careful how you throw stones at us, whom you call, "akata". As you too live in a glass house.
C.E.A.N.A. will have a convention in the 3rd largest city in the US next month. Only Ewes will know about it mainly. PART 1
Kwaku.....you have touched on some very interesting issues indeed. I for one, always like to look into the past through to the present and critically analyze where are at now. As the saying goes......."if you do not know where you come from (as a human-being) then you would not know where you are going”.
The history of our African civilization has been distorted and ignored by haters of our continent and with the help of their 'Uncle Tom' collaborators amongst us. There have been many misconceptions about the lives of Africans before the advent of European and American colonization. Long before the colonization by Europeans, Africans built kingdoms and monuments that rivaled any European monarchy.
African kingdoms of Meroë, Ghana, and the Swahili and their rich contributions to the pages of history have all been distorted and ignored. This has been disregarded by our own African people as nothing more than an irrelevant past history. Oh! How sad! Other nations and continents even celebrate their darkest histories.
Unfortunately, a lot of our present day educated illiterates have no clue about the scholars produced by the ancient Timbuktu and many others, as well as the era of the Songhai Empire. The university structures then, in Timbuktu has been the 'template' of all universities anywhere in the world today. The concept is still copied till this very day. Our precious artifacts of our civilization were stolen from us and are being exhibited at museums for our own to pay to see them.
Many Africans from all walks of the continent (speaking different languages) went there to be educated to become affluent and rich scholars of substance to their societies, way before the arrival of the colonialists. (Please take some time out and read about ‘The Wealth of Africa – Great Zimbabwe’ – the British Museum). These are the positives we need highlight and learn to improve our minds, in order to build our own futures. And NOT the study of the Shakepeares and many others………………which has no relevance to our African society.
Have we ever asked ourselves how they managed to achieve that?....... No! NEVER!
But rather we have chosen the path of irrelevant education systems which ‘mis-educates’ us and constantly brainwash us into believing how POOR and WORTHLESS we are as a continent/people; whilst we are sitting on the entire world's wealth.
Moreover, we continually educate ourselves in languages alien to our true human selves and also mimic lifestyles totally alien to our true positive cultures that would make us thrive, as it was then and even could have been way better now.
I am afraid, without any proper education which looks into the positives of our past, and one that also collectively delves into our rich past achievements in our own AFRICAN language..........then, we are doomed to consider life to be war for ourselves. (PART TWO TO FOLLOW THIS……)

YES! KWAKU, WE ARE BLESSED!!!....with gold, diamond, aluminium, cobalt, iron ore, oil etc. you name them. But unfortunately, we have chosen and embarked on a mind-set of believing that if we mimic Europeans, we will automatically become like them. It’s all around us to see. Well, our so-called education system. Isn’t it?
Let's look around us and study nations outside Europe and America that were colonized like us...........
In this instance, I will refer to Ghana and compare us to, Soth Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, China, India and many more others. They all chose the path of educating themselves in their own languages and other foreign languages, only a choice for business purposes and NOTHING else.
I guess their achievements are there for all to see.
All we are interested in is achieving and flaunting degrees after degrees earned in other people's languages without having any relevant impact in our societies today. Most of these educated illiterates believe they have something in common with the colonialists and would continue to collaborate with them to devour our rich natural resources.........to the detriment of our children. Those lot, are the bane of our African society today!
And there are many so-called leaders who are and will remain stooges to the colonialists irrespective of how we are viewed by others outside.
In addition to that, we have mechanisms designed by the imperialists and colonialists - like the IMFs, World Banks etc. together with their most potent weapon of ‘divide and rule’ - to keep us where we are......into believing we are poor and they are trying to help us. The Chinese have also come into the fold and the trend continues.
Some of our own people collaborated with foreigners in the past to loot us dry and unfortunately, that is still the case.
To conclude, it is not only our 'uncle Toms' who are letting our people's life a war but, a combination of 'hidden colonialists hands and mechanisms' that have been put in place with the help of their collaborators on this continent of ours. Yes! I mean some of our own, who care nothing about others but their own immediate families.
Until we seriously analyze our past and rid ourselves of all these rogue elements and systems in our African society, life will continue to be WAR for Africans.
Military coups backed by imperialists have been rampart in Africa and now we have a situation whereby a wind of ‘dem-all-crazy’ is sort of trying to take shape in our continent.
Another gimmick with puppet leaders being re-cycled to continue to stay in power after several rigged elections………for the benefit of their colonialist collaborators.
“Imperialism and colonialism has done its utmost to brainwash Africans into thinking that they need the strait-jackets of colonialism and neocolonialism if they are to be saved from their retrogressive instincts. Such is the age-old racialist justification for the economic exploitation of our continent.” – a quote.
GOD BLESS GHANA!
