All of a sudden nonentities want to portray to the world how close they were to the late President.
Those who had to chat with him for one hour everyday, those Deputy Ministers who had to call him every morning before the man could even brush his teeth, and still those who would be called to the Castle by the late President to express his appreciation for job well done after they had gone to insult political opponents in the media on his behalf. Shameless id.iots raising their egos.

So why should the EC bow to the wishes of NPP to delay the declaration of the results of the elections?
Have you forgotten that NPP were allowed time to make any complaints to the EC before the results were declared? The complaints they made were then considered by the EC and dismissed before the declaration.
NPP went to court of their own volition, not at the instigation of the EC.
Stop living in a fool's paradise. Dr Afari-Gyan refuted all the allegations made against him and the EC by Addison, and concluded that he saw no reason to change the results of the elections. And why should he, given the unreliable, selective 'evidence' adduced by the petitioners and Addison's persistent attempts at deceiving the court through falsehood?

A guy found himself unable to satisfy his wife. He tried hundreds of methods but just wasn't able to do the job. He finally went to his best friend and asked for advice. His friend told him not to worry because he knew a method that was 100% successful.
He says, "Hire a big strong black man to stand near your bed and wave a huge towel over both of you while you are having sex. This way your wife will be stimulated and have an orgasm."
The guy hired the strong man, but all efforts were in vain. He went back to his friend and told him what happened. So his friend suggested that they switch places.
"Why don't you wave the towel while the strong man does the job in bed," says the friend.
He agreed and said that he would do anything to satisfy his wife. He hires the same guy again and this time they trade positions. Naturally, the woman has a divine orgasm.
The husband leans over to the black guy and says, "You see!! That's how you wave the towel."

Why don't you wait for the Supreme Court to render its verdict before you write such pieces? It appears you are getting ahead of yourself. You might be buoyed by the evidence that has gone in but history is replete with bizarre results in cases hitherto thought to be a slam dunk. Although the judges have sworn to render an impartial verdict, they are humans whose interpretation of the law or evidence might be diametrically opposite to that of the main stream. This is not an ordinary case, it is an epoch forming phenomenon, so I suspect the judges will have a hard time insulating the evidence from their inbuilt biases. The proverbial Ga aphorism; SOLO BONI KYINA NAA SIKLII is succinct to this scenario. Let’s not be carried away by what we assume to be a foregone conclusion. Let’s abide by the unwritten code of Detectives or intelligence officers, “ASSUMPTION IS THE MOTHER OF ALL FUCK UPS” Just keep your fingers crossed.

Dr. Afari Gyane is practical criminal, a blessed land Ghana is bigger than every individual in it not to talk of our personal interest so what Afari Gyane did is criminal and selfish and Suprem court must stand firm to deliver the justice and without fear or fouvar Afari Gyane must be prosecuted for trying to burn down the country for his selfish interest. The NPP stand to move forward that is why we choose to go to court instead of opossite violance that we can equarlly choose as a solution to thesame criminal offence.

Mr Nyantakyi, after writing a one sided article, you still have the audacity to accuse Dr Afari-Gyan of being bias against NPP because he declared the NDC candidate winner? Was he bias against NDC when he declared NPP candidate winner in other elections?
You described Dr Bawumia's evidence as watertight? You described Addison's cross examination as disgraceful to Afari-Gyan? What about Addison's doggy evidence he attempted to use and was compelled to withdraw?
You made comparison with the US case. That is a case the US Supreme Court itself ruled that it should not be referred to in the future. The Justice got it wrong because Al Gore won both the electoral college as well as the popular vote.
For me, Ghanaians should be grateful to both the petitioners and Afari-Gyan for this petition because it will improve the management and organization of future elections in Ghana.

Stop this "middle-of-the road" approach to this issue, and save yourself from being knocked down by an Atta Wuton Bus. Have you considered that the NDC and Afari Gyan tried to accuse the petitioners of introducing "duplicates, triplicates and quadruplicates" of pink sheets but in the end it came out that the EC itself (perhaps, in collaboration with the NDC) had printed these pink sheets in multiples with same serial numbers? The issue is not about "doggy" evidence but evidence of "over-voting", "duplicated serial numbers of pink sheets", pink sheets not signed by EC officials at polling stations, no biometric verification before voting, and how it impacted Afari Djan's declaration of Mahama as president. By the way did Al Gore win Florida that was in contention in the 2000 US elections? No! Al Gore won in more states and the popular votes but lost Florida in the court case. The judges decision may have been wrong but that is what he decided. With all the court experience you claim to have you will accept the court will have to rule one way or the other. They cannot take your middle-of-the road stance because counsel for petitioners attempted to use a "doggy" evidence that he was prompted to withdraw. They will weigh the evidence as set out in their initial directions and make a ruling. Did you see any evidence as adduced by petitioners in terms of "over-voting", "duplicated serial numbers", "no biometric verification" and "presiding officers not signing declaration sheets"? Did Afari Djan, the returning officer, admit to any of these after his initial lecturing posture? Did Afari Djan even lied on oath and got exposed through Addison's cross-examination? . Remember, Nyantakyi's accusation of Afari Djan is borne out of the latter's (and his counsel's) demeanor in court. Afari Gyan should have accepted the weakness in the system and stay neutral instead of the adversarial position he took against the petitioners and NDC respectively. Every level headed Ghanaian knows Afari Gyan disgraced himself and the Afari Abusua in Bono with his "twenty-seven-zero" he tried to introduce. Call his senior brother Dr. Addai and listen to what he says about Afari Gyan

"In the Dec 7 and 8th general election NPP special committee “found numerous malpractices and statutory violations and irregularities as evidenced in the primary record of the elections at the polling station called pink sheets" I did not need to read through the article to notice the insincerity and bad faith shown by the writer, a common trait of NPP. The quotation used above could not have been possible at the time the 3 NPP men approached. This statement was exactly what the SC directed the petioners to do after the failure of the counsel of the parties failed to agree on points of contest. So how could jake and co have amassed all this information on the second day of voting. If that was the case why did it take them 21 days to gather same.No body should twist the facts, what was presented to Afari Gyan was not prima facie evidence to cause the stoppage of the declaration and the NPP knew this. Secondly where was the writer in 2008 when the same EC chairman Afari Gyan was taking all the necessary precautions, the same Jake called a news conference to declare the results? Is this not double standards for Jake to be hijack the work of the EC on one occasion when he felt it was delaying, and now to accuse it of too much haste? NPP, your insincerity may not end with this case but may cause you in coming elections.

Given the level of accusations leveled against the president, EC and the NDC by the opposition NPP following the declaration of election results, and given the fact that they INSISTED that their figures were right and their General Secretary had even announced some figures giving Nana Addo a 51 to 47% margin of victory, it is my candid opinion that the NPP left Dr Afari Gyan no other choice but to ask them to take the matter to court.
The level and depth of accusations and ridiculous claims were not things that could have been resolved by simply calling the parties together for even one week or two.
I believe very strongly that but for the fact that Dr Gyan called it right by asking the petitioners to go to court, and the fact that Ghana has a judicial system that can adjudicate fairly in these matters, there would have been chaos. Indeed some irate supporters on both sides - NDC and NPP had already started disturbing the peace.
This article gives a misleading picture and once again is written with a myopic partisan slant that serves simply to misinform and does not add to intellectual debate on the subject.
