Mr. Yaw, if you are serious about acquiring a plot to buy in Tamale, then you could get assistance from a trustworthy relative of mine. One very large plot is available in one of the prime locations in Tamale for sale. It is behind the Northern Regional Minister's Residency. It is behind the estates. It is larger than a double plot in comparism to a plot in Accra. You can contact Mohammed at 0208677050 to discuss the sale. Mohammed is not an agent. It is just that that one plot is available and he is handling the sale.

Generally, depending on the particular area, prices of plots in Tamale nowadays range from GHC5,000-50,000. The high end price is for a plot located in the heart of Tamale which could be used for a store or residential purpose. As you can imagine, plots in less affluent areas cost low. But the plot under discussion is in a respectable area - not far behind the Minister's residence
I have a plot in Jisonaayilli which I may want to dispense off. That goes for GHC20,000.

Just go and experience the Dagomba way of friendship and sense of humour. Tamale is also a Ghana melting Pot as Kumasi (anyway, they are Asante Kotoko, the makers of our Batakari kese).Kamina/Karadan Barracks,Tamasco/Ghanasco and Tamtec also ensured the Volta Region,Greater Accra, Asante and especially the Businesslike Kwahu ethnic groups to converged/melted to live in a dreamland called Ghana. To prove my argument, no foreigner(apart from feuding families or ethnic groups) was either killed nor got hurt during the confrontations surrounding Ya Na's death.
EXCELLENT REMINDER THAT REVIVES MY DREAM EXPERIENCES AT KAMINA BARRACKS AND IN TAMASCO before becoming Auta boy.

My late father was a civil servant and was transfered to Tamale back in the 70s. When we heard the news we were going to Tamale, my syblings and I were so very sad, and our response was any where but Tamale. However, when we got there we loved it so much we didn't want to live. My family ended up living for almost 20 years.I am hoping to visit next time I am in Ghana.

I had a brief education in Tamale at Sakasaka Primary School. My nephew who was far older than me was also in Tamale Secondary School. One of my brother's in-law used to be the manger of the then GNTC. We were from the South but my sisters found tamale a wonderful place to raise children because of the educational system which was brilliant in those days. Staying at the then Russian bungalow with my sister who was then the regional Telephone Traffic Superitendent with the Post and Telecommunication(P&T). I remember going to the cinema at Rivol, my sister and her elite friends used to visit a restaurant called Gymkana(?) It's been 40+yrs now. But I still have some glimpses of it as a lovely lovely dwelling city. I hope the government will help develop it to a modrn standard of a city. Next time in Ghana I will endeavour to visit. Thanks for your promotion and taking me back to my old mermory lane of my childhood days. Lovely piece. Long live Ghana.

I also schooled in Tamale and then worked there for several years before leaving for Europe. When I last visited the place after more than 20 years I had to touch most of the old places, kaladan stadium was messy and dilapidated, my darling Ghanasco had outgrown itself and become ugly, Tamasco was no longer the Northern Light, Tatco had been beautified with its wall but the traffic roads were more civil than those in the southern cities of Accra and Kumasi.
Much as I enjoyed myself , my sons were BORED. There was nowhere in Tamale that excited them, name ONE tourist attraction in Tamale. That is the big minus of that city and something must be done.
