Why have the cases against 3 of Kenyatta's co accused been withdrawn? Its because they lack credible evidence. Why did kenyans vote kibaki and Uhuru if they really believed they rigged and killed? Its precisely because they see Mr Odinga's hand in the incitement and killings that followed yet he's not at the ICC in the Hague.FYI Odinga's supporters were yelling "No Raila,No Peace" and went beserk killing their opponents, burning their shops and driving them off their farms.Mr Odinga is also on record bragging about his involvement in the 1982 coup where 180 people died.During the recent case he was the only loser out of 8 to complain about "a flawed process" only after he'd lost. Why didn't he intervene to have "electoral flaws" corrected until after the race? Its because he was satisfied with the process so far.He has never ever accepted a clean loss and he went around inciting crowds while the case was being heard. He will always say he's been rigged even when thousands of int'l observers, his party agents, all the other candidates and the electoral commission had given the elections a clean bill of health. Why was he the only one out of all these observers, agents and candidates to have been witness to non existent electoral malpractices?
So Mr Kobina given the sad history of Mr Odinga, think of why kenyans look beyond your flawed excuses of "peace ahead of justice".To kenyans justice was done and Raila Odinga is the man that should be indicted for '07 chaos and killings and even managing to hoodwink you about nonexistent rigging.Mr Kibaki never rigged any election or incited anybody during his illustrious public service of 50 yrs and was never accused or rigging until Odinga with his questionable past came on the scene. In 20 yrs Mr Odinga has been always opposing govt, always cries rigging even in the light of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, demonstrating, inciting and generally being a troublemaker so its not far fetched that he was the trigger behind'07 chaos, participated in '82 coup attempt and even recently supported coastal separatists in the hope of winning votes.Does that sound like a man of honour to you?
Think and research well Mr Kobina before you write trash and mislead the rest of the world with your half baked articles full of falsehoods, hearsay and political spin doctering.

The courts are the constitutional guardian of the rule of law. An argument of force cannot deprive the courts of their guardian status.
The current punishment for contempt in Ghana cannot be decried by political campaign;that would be destruction of democracy and the rule of law. We can enjoy peace and stability in Ghana and the world if our understanding of the rule of law is meaningful and relevant with absolute freedom from contamination. That is the stance of the SC of Ghana.

Before the arrival of " obroni" African cultures relied on the rule of law. It is the supra position of the obroni law that sometimes confuses people. take UK that did not have a written constitution for a long time. How was it run. Law is common sense as they put it " what a reasonable person would do or not do" Could you in the past insult your chief withot a sancion? Could you publicly comment on issues before the Kings court and not face a sanction? If in our customary rules we had thse then why do we blame the SC or Justice Atubuga for what he has done? Could Ken Agyepong have publicly called for killing of Ewes and Gas and not be summoned to the Kings court for trying to disturb the peace. Let us always not look outwards but to our own cultures and ask " what is right"?

The rule of law is not merely a statement written in books. It is a whole mental attitude that people adopt and abide by.This mental attitude maybe is shortcoming in many African countries.

The thing is happening here in Ghana and you live and teach in Ghana, but you prefer to run to far away US where the arms of Ghanaian law cannot reach you, to embark on your holy war? Be the man that you are, come and face the supreme judges here and tell it to them in their face that their ruling on 2 musketeers is bullshit; only then will we know that you are serious. People have had varying conceptions of what rule of law is. In the 1960's, people of Marxist leanings preferred to think of it as excluding freedoms and human rights in order to facilitate development. Even in the U.S., it used to be understood as including "Jim Crow " laws that discriminated against Blacks and other minorities. This perception lingers on today as evidenced in the case of Zimmerman. I believe Arthur Kennedy means respect for human rights and democracy. In this respect I totally support your conclusions that cautions against the use of the means of mass media to propagate violence against ethnic groups. But I do think the Supreme Court in Ghana were right in cautioning those editors who were propagating violence whichever way judgement of 2012 election petition went. The rule of law, human rights & democracy needs to be continuously championed everywhere, in the U.S., Ghana and Africa and elsewhere. The 'Daily Graphic'carried a wrong caption the The rule of lae has failed in Africa.
