If this is a book review, it's not convincing or compelling enough to make me want to purchase a copy.
This is supposed to be an autobiography of Nyaho Tamakloe but we're only told what we already know about the man- a medical doctor who assumed various political positions and other posts such GFA Chairman and an amabassador.
So what's in this book that's so revealing about Mr Tamakloe? As a public figure with with well connected relatives, we told by this poor book review that there really isn't much about Nyaho Tamakloe we didn't already know.
A book review that deviates from its theme and talks endlessly about other people is not a book review. And I hope you weren't paid for this poor attempt at book review.
Kwesi, how many of the 365 pages of the book have you read? I doubt you've even laid eyes on a copy of the book.
When are you going to stay away from literary reviews, books, doctors, professors, Shakespeares, etc?

Tawiah writes well but he is prone to certain weaknesses - beating too much about the bush and injecting something of himself in all his writings. I have also had occasion to accuse him of writing about writers and books that he didn't read. But in this review, he has actually read the book (all of it, I suppose) which places him in a position to write intelligently about it. This is good, by all standards, and far better than the average ghanaweb fare. Tawiah should continue on that trend and stop talking about himself - I am in Canada, I am writing a book, my daughter is Sonnet and the constant Prof, academia thing that pisses off Kwesi Mintah.
This review is good even though I expected Tawiah to tell us of a few things that he did NOT like about the book. Well, he didn't see any such but it may be because he didn't look well enough. The review doesn't tell us where and when Nyaho was born and why he chose the particular title for the book - how the Hearts of Oak battle cry became a national call. And certainly other things that another reviewer might have found important to comment on. And Tawiah is around 40 so he may not have a first hand knowledge of some of the things described in the book. A good effort, though, Kwesi.
