The type of capitalism that has emerged in Ghana and much of Africa ensures that most of the "profits" come out through the government sector.
The private sector is weak--and even when feasible private sector agents depend or collude with government to conduct their business.
So there is no counterweight to the government. No civil society group or economic agents have the power to contest government policies (whether NPP or NDC) for better outcomes.
So the government is the only player in town. As long as that continues--the politics will always be dysfunctional--because to get rich you have to go through the government.
So there will always be vampires fighting (hence the petition at the SC) to get their hands into the government coffers (the profits of the dysfucntional capitalist system).
